Better believe that you don't bring in a capologist if you're looking to rebuild slowly, you bring 1 in if you're looking to wheel & deal.

Looking fwd to CP3, some other disgruntled star, TRex, and Melo in NYC next year.

You need one either way.

Part with Knox, a FRP, and a cap-filler - like Marci said in an SI article recently - max for CP3 and it's not a bad deal.

Who is TRex?

Any deal for CP3 is a bad deal

So excited to see the shakeup. Curious to see if they actually care about player fit and not feelings.

Yeah 40 million for a mentor. When will we learn? I highly doubt we will actually build slowly. If we land a under25 and under star to pair with Mitch and RJ then we are talking.

Yea, I dont like the idea of trading for CP3 either especially if we have to give up a pick.

How many picks did the Thunder get for taking CP3? However, y’all want to give up picks and a under 21 year old player for one of the largest contracts in the league.

Ya’ll never learn.

Man i hope we dont pick up Thibs. I dont understand the NBA's obsession over spoiled goods. Thibs is compromised. Also the fact that he needed full control in MIN implies he thinks himself more than a coach. Just keep Mike Miller on a 1+1.

And Cleveland gave out pretty much nothing but dog crap or poorly timed contracts in recent memories. Not sure how bringing someone from that FO is considered a great move when 95% of the success came from simply having Lebron.

That’s not fair. Lebron was a gigantic piece of all of Cleveland’s runs but just compare who he actually won with to whom was on his team the first time he was in Cleveland and it’s a clear improvement.

The Cavs had to do a lot of manipulation to get those pieces, mostly through drafting and trading because barely anyone wanted to go to Cleveland even with Lebron there.

Honestly I wonder does this mean the knicks are done right now hoping for a “savior” in FA and are going to build through the draft and trading to get to the point somebody actually looks at NY fondly.

Danny DeVito?

Though to be fair, Randle has a 7' wingspan (measured at the combine)...but his thick chest takes up more of those inches than normal and his thick arms also makes it seem like the arms are shorter than it is.

TRex maybe equals Devin Booker.

I get thinking it's the same old Knicks to trade a 1st for Chris Paul. Same ol Knicks is more like Isiah moving RJ Barrett and 2 FRPs for Chris Paul. The bounce back season and leading a team everyone thought was tanking was an awesome story, maybe it was more Shai than Paul?

Knox, Clippers pick, and a cap filler ( Randle?) is not awful. It gives the team the point guard dynamic we've lacked for years and it'll probably get Melo to sign back so Rose/Dolan get hype to sell. I don't know who else we're going to sign and if we're going to trade for a star with a giant contract it might as well be a point guard. Paul + Melo + another new piece (T-Rex?) with Robinson, Barrett, 2020 pick, is better than all the young guys and Julius Randle for the next 2 seasons.

Possibly but the general tone was negative and he was focusing on things that were kinda insulting which tells me it's someone that he's watched a lot and don't want on the team. Randle is the closest to that description among the players still on this team.

lol yeah. Randle is kinda built like a lazy Anthony Mason (like Mason after he went to Charlotte and got fat). He is more athletic than it looks.

Hypothetically, a super-agent should make a god-tier POBO. This guy knows all the tricks on how to bend over a franchise and getting stuff done from the player-agent perspective. You would think it would be near impossible to get said things by him as a POBO. We shall see.

Don't like the writing on the wall right now but we shall see. The agent turned executive seems to be a growing trend in the NBA and we got one of the best agents in the game.

Trend? Outside Rose, who's a power agent turned bball exec besides Rob? Rob got worked on AD trade especially seeing as NOP had little leverage, got nothing for TRex, Zubac trade, etc
