So irritated. This draft broke perfectly for us. Take the OT or one of the WRs and you can't screw it up. Unbelievable.

The drop off after Terrell at CB is huge IMO.

I'm hoping for DL AJ Epenesa or OLT Ezra Cleveland. Cleveland is underrated; I think he could step in at LT right away.

Taking Epenesa would be insane. They'd have Armstead, Ford, and Epenesa basically splitting snaps. And Thomas would never see the field (which is probably just as well, but he's a very high pick who is still on the roster).

You can never have too many great DL.

You can if you can't field NFL-caliber players at other positions.

Damon Arnette to Las Vegas.

WOW. First big reach in round 1, did not hear him as a first rounder.

Ezra Cleveland is better than Wirfs IMO. He's a perfect fit for the ZBS, too.

Maybe even a great player. But he's a DT. It's not an impact position, unless you're Aaron Donald. They made the right call to let Buckner go, and then they just replace him with a lesser version. It's a lateral move, at best, when they needed to make a move to improve the team.

We've now thrown five of the past six high first round picks at the DL. FOUR of them for interior DL. And we traded a second round pick and gave big money at the position. It's ridiculous. DL was still a position of strength on this team. The cupboard is pretty bare at WR, OT could be a HUGE issue next year, and CB could be an even bigger one. I had heard the rumors that the FO felt we needed a DL, and prayed it was just blowing smoke. Apparently not. Newsflash: it's not the 1990s. Modern NFL is won on the edges, not in the trenches. You can justify DE and OT, but interior DL just isn't how you win games unless the opposing QB keeps throwing right into the DT's arm.

When we moved Buckner, we really dealt a blow to our DL. One of our consistent studs who showed up every play and game... our DL was rocked with his departure.... The void was there would we have survived without addressing it? Definitely not last year’s level with the current depth chart but now with Kinlaw and going forward, maybe our Defense can maintain that violent attack?

Mind you, had we drafted WR instead, that’ll be just as fine... but defense won’t be as strong
I believe in more in Shanny in making WRs and late rd offensive players(including OL) work in his system than I do in Saleh still... besides we still have the late first to address WR... I think we need speed at WR and that can be still had with a few WRs currently left available.

I think you always have to take the best player on the board. Trades & FA can fill in the gaps.

Scary thing is he was the 3rd best corner in Ohio State this past season.

I agree with needing to replace Buckner. My thing is how big is the drop from Jefferson the 4th highest rated wr to the next batch? I get Kyle can make players look good but what happens if you give him a great weapon and not an average weapon? I honestly don't know the drop after Jefferson I'm seriously asking. We can't go into the season with Deebo and Bourne as 1-2 so will whoever they take be better than Bourne?

I am also wondering if that pick mean Jalen Hurd is doing well and they expect him to have that big impact next season

Trying to take an optimistic view of this - which I'm struggling with - IF Ford can stay healthy, the DL might actually be better, at least down the stretch. And if our backups can stay healthy, too, so much more so. But man, we need to address some other positions. Next offseason could be absolutely brutal.

Other silver lining, I suppose, is that we're perhaps giving guys like Pettis and Hurd more of a chance to step up. And Taylor, I guess. I have serious reservations about that, but we have thrown a lot of resources at WR lately, and might as well see what we have there.

Goodell before Raiders pick said "Vegas will host 2020 draft." Obvious mistake, he meant to say 2022.

Only thing that matters is this offseason, not next. Gotta return to the SB
