Teams trade up for Qbs at the end of the first round all the time. If Love is your guy and future franchise QB, you absolutely give up a 4th to guarantee you get your guy. You're not jumping just those 4 teams, your jumping the other 27 teams as well.

I’m sorry, I think that was a dumb pick. There’s so many holes on this team that aren’t going to be filled for next year. We were damn lucky to be 13-3 last year. Bet this year is quite a step back.

They did it to get ahead of round two teams who were also looking to move up. Giving up a 4th if you think you got your QB for the next 10 years is nothing.

They traded up because they knew other teams were talking to those in front of them.

Lafleur looked thrilled to have rodgers’ replacement.

That said, I ain't mad about us drafting a QB high.

I don't know anything about the guy, but this seems like the team thinks it's more likely we can win a superbowl in 6 years than right now.

Rumor is Indy was pushing hard to move up and take him. If that's your QB of the future it's a no brainer to give up that 4th.

BTW, I have a feeling that with Aaron's injury history, Love is going to be seeing snaps sooner than you'd think.

Like I wrote on the other thread: Ask me again in three years if this was really dumb, or really smart. Right now I'm not impressed.

It ain't Love's fault he got picked here, so he's my guy going forward, like any Packer.

He won’t smell the field for 3 years. Good thing is we’ll have much higher draft picks over those years.

I will not forgive Gutenkunst, he's officially on the **** list. Pushing Rodgers out and wasting his twilight years is unforgivable. Jordan Love, I don't see and don't want to see it. Just total wasted pick.

I thought we jumped the Ravens to get Queen. Unlike us they’re competing for a title this year.

I trust Indy's scouting if they wanted him. I feel a little sick about this tonight, despite thinking I was ready to start moving on from Rodgers, but obviously I hope they made the right pick

Lol. I'm so ready for the next 2-3 years with Packers fans pulling their best Favre-era reactions.

Of course, hope they're all wrong (again), but it will be entertaining either way.
