Profootballtalk's Mike Florio reports the Rams "clearly" owe Todd Gurley $5.05 million in unpaid bonus money.
Gurley is owed a $7.55 million bonus, with only $2.5 million of it subject to offset language. “It’s pretty clear the Rams are in the wrong,” were the words of a source with knowledge of Gurley's pact. “Even if you take the theory they are waiting on the offset they are in the wrong.” Florio reports the matter is less certain with a similarly-disgruntled Clay Matthews. The Rams have yet to publicly comment, but have leaked they believe they are in the right. One way or another, Gurley is going to get paid. Owner Stan Kroenke needs to get it over with. The matter figures to come to a head once Gurley officially passes his Falcons physical.

Falcons have the inside info on top draft prospect Javon Kinlaw
In 37 games at South Carolina, Kinlaw accumulated 18 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks. He also forced three fumbles, recovered four fumbles, deflected 10 passes and blocked three kicks.

For Mel Kiper, the Falcons' draft pick will come down to two players
"I think it gets down to K'Lavon Chaisson from LSU, if he were there, and C.J. Henderson from Florida, the corner, if he were there," Kiper said. "I think it will be interesting to see which direction they would go in that first round."

Re: Falcons 2020 Draft & Free Agency: Pass Rush and Safety in the mix
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported that the Falcons are expected to be the most aggressive team in the draft.
Mort added that they could even try to move into the top-five. This is consistent with a report from NBC Sports' Peter King, which stated the, "worst-kept secret in draft rooms around the league: GM Thomas Dimitroff wants to trade up for one of the two top corners in the draft, Jeff Okudah or C.J. Henderson." Look for the Falcons to be active come draft night.

Re: Falcons 2020 Draft & Free Agency: Pass Rush and Safety in the mix
FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports the Falcons have made calls to get to No. 2 overall for Chase Young.
It's been reported a million times that the Falcons are expected to be aggressive with a trade up this draft, but moving from No. 16 to No. 2 would be unbelievable, especially for a defensive player. It's highly unlikely that Atlanta could pull this off because Washington seems set on drafting the Ohio State star. It's more likely that Atlanta targets a corner (Jeffrey Okudah or C.J. Henderson) or defensive lineman (Derrick Brown or Javon Kinlaw) on Thursday night. Of course, the Falcons aren't one player away from a Super Bowl, so risking limited assets would be a major gamble for GM Thomas Dimitroff.

As much as I'd love to get Chase Young on this team, the cost would be too high.
I want depth across the entire defense. Trade back for as many 2nd and 3rd round picks as possible!!!!

I don't like the pick. Falcons should have went with Epenesa in the 1st and gone CB/S in the 2nd round.
Falcons can still salvage this mess by drafting or trading up to get Epenesa, Curtis Weaver, or Zack Baun in the 2nd round.
I would also be satisfied with Grant Delpit as a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

The pick: A.J. Terrell, CB, Clemson (No. 16)
The Falcons reached for a need, plain and simple. With Jeff Okudah and CJ Henderson off the board, I didn't have any other cornerbacks left with first-round grades. Teams often reach, of course, but Terrell was my seventh-ranked corner and No. 61 overall prospect. At 6-foot-1, Terrell is a big corner, and he impressed at the combine with a 4.42 40-yard dash. But he was way too inconsistent throughout the season, and he didn't play well down the stretch. He has a tendency to get grabby and doesn't have first-round tape.

Re: Falcons 2020 Draft & Free Agency: Pass Rush and Safety in the mix
I don't like the Marlon Davidson pick. Everything about Davidson's game is the same as Hageman, alot of power, very stiff and no bend. The only good thing about MD is that he has a rep of being a hard worker, unlike Hageman who was known to be lazy and took plays off.
They should have taken Epenesa. Epenesa has better bend, speed and burst and can play both DE and DT like Davidson
Falcons need to get Curtis Weaver with the next pick. He is the last elite pass rusher on the board. Weaver has the best bend of all the edge prospects, and if you like Neil Smith, then you will love Weaver's game.
Falcons had the fewest sacks last year and it won't matter how good your corners are, when the opposing QB will have 6-7 seconds in the pocket like last year.

Re: Falcons 2020 Draft & Free Agency: Pass Rush and Safety in the mix
Another bad draft by the Falcons. Dimitroff has shown he has no skill at player evaluations and continues to draft the same type of player over and over again who cannot produce on the pro level. Dimitroff is so poor at drafting, I cannot remember him selecting a non-first rounder that ended up being good, besides Hooper, Jarrett, and Jones.
Dimitroff always ends up drafting stiff DL who can't get a sack. Which shows why the Falcons are last place in sacks for the last 5 years.
Dimitroff doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes and keeps drafting the wrong players for the NFL.
