I consider myself purged. We’re going to have to come up With new strategies and candidates who are willing to call their opponents out in a primary. Bernie was too nice.

Not being nice isn't enough. Plan significant GOTV efforts and form a cult like base that'll go out for you in troves.... starting now and into post-2020 elections.

Plus y'all will need to convert those old people, who vote for the safe incumbents, to join your base - one by one by one by one. AOC did some of the former in the Bronx/Queens. I saw some of it firsthand when she ran.

Cuomo won't. He has a lot more power as NY Governor than he'd ever have in Washington. Plus he's teflon don in this state.

You're not seeing Biden now because there is no reason to see him. He has no power to do anything at the moment, and Trump is sinking himself.

Plus, Joe's polling numbers have been going up this whole time.

Agreed. We need a completely new media strategy too.

As for the old people, they all watch CNN.

Nope. He likes power and he will only get that in Albany, not Washington

I guess Biden doesn't have to answer this claim, because he's winning...

It's really amazing what we are expected to turn a blind eye to. His gaffes, cognitive decline, and now this assault; we really can't act surprised in 2020.

Better off just putting Pete+Harris as the 2020 P/VP candidates.

Reminds me of the saying "Better to keep you mouth shut and let people think you're a fool than to open it up and confirm it."

I guess the less you hear from Biden, the better. The lesson I'm learning. But what about exhibiting leadership during the worst crisis we've faced in a century in order to contrast yourself from the ignoramus in the White House? This is his time to shine and show he's the leader we need. If you're afraid that by entering the fray you'll do damage to your campaign, then you shouldn't be running for President.

I wouldn't say Bernie is just too nice. He is.

But I think he prioritizes beating Trump than pushing his progressive policies. He could have attacked Biden more, but I think that would only increase the rift between progressive democrats and your traditional democrats. And it would increase Trump's likelihood of a win.

Good point. That's what I thought Bernie was doing. Of course, mainstream media turned it around and did an "omg Bernie said the fword" headline.

Anyways, I guess we are just to assume Biden will act once he's president. But you just can't expect voters to assume these kinds of things in November. They want to see actions. But all they saw was Hidin' Biden.

That's the establishment Dems problem. Did you see the republicans go at it during the '16 primary? Woo. That was scorched earth and they seemed to "survive." They keep saying that during the primary as if the republicans don't know that Biden's mind is turning to mush or that he has his own scandals. "Don't talk about Joe's dementia. That'll help the Republicans in the General."

I understand the strategy to let Trump self immolate but I also understand the criticism that Biden needs to be out there more. Doesn’t need to be everyday like Trump or Cuomo, he is the Governor after all. Even just once or twice a week he should do some spots and read off a teleprompter. The point is to show a contrast between him and Trump. He can start by acknowledging how many lives have been lost (Trump doesn’t care), restate what experts like Fauci and Birks are saying and he doesn’t need to mention Trump or wade into policy. Just be a reassuring voice and show compassion which is completely lacking from current leadership. I think it’s about being a presence and less about doing interviews or campaigning.

I, admittedly, have not watched much TV recently. Has Biden at least been putting out ads pounding Trump for his bizarre statements? Shouldn't he be embarrassing Trump?

he probably needs the money. I heard Bloomberg transferred some millions over to him, so I'd guess the ads will hit strategically.

We're not seeing Biden now, we're not seeing Schumer now, and we're not seeing Pelosi now unless she's showing off her two super-refrigerators stocked with 16 different types of chocolate ice cream.

Meanwhile ... back at the ranch, Mitch McConnell is imposing austerity conditions in order to get bailout money. This is being directed at blue states/cities. So where are the Democrats? I haven't heard a word from them on this. Once again, the Republicans seize the moment while the Democrats are sitting home with their thumbs up their asses. What kind of conditions have been set on the big corporate bailouts? Somebody better wake up Slow Uncle Joe.

I attended massive rallies with tens of thousands of people in NYC now the primary is cancelled none of us get to vote. We still pretending this is a democracy? Everyone gets a say in who is running the country? I’m sure Biden supporters don’t care because their guy won and they don’t understand the principle of why people would be upset by this but staggered primaries are asinine. fckin South Carolina chose the democrat nominee and we didn’t even get to vote

Good point. Cruz and Trump were able to go at each other like I've never seen before, but still endorsed each other. And neither came off as "supporting Hillary".

I guess I fell into the DNC's trap already lol. It's hard not to.
