I don't get why everyone is freaking out over this pick. John & Pete always seem to draft guys who are under the radar types.

We needed to get younger & faster at LB. This accomplished that.

K.J. is going into his last year (31). Bobby will be 30, later this year. This guy can play both spots (Mike & Will). I see him replacing KJ.

I don't hate the pick.

This pick doesn't scream massive reach based on a need. Like Ifedi & Collier to a lesser extent turned into.

I don't hate the pick.

Agreed didn't see it coming, but getting some time under KJ and Bobby with Barton is a good thing for sustainability. KJ is definitely not quite himself after all the injuries season before last, Kendricks is still a big ? mark, and after those guys there is... hmm.

His tackling reminds me of what pete likes... alligator rolls with strong hands. people don't get away.

This team is stacked at Guard. Might be the most depth they've had on the interior OL since Pete took over lol.

I think Fluker is on the cutting block... i like him but he's a key to more cap if they go for two moves instead of just one more. I think we could see Finney and Lewis start (pete even said lewis was in the starting rg mix already because he doesn't take back seats).

if those dominos fall they may get really aggressive and drop KJ for Jones/Clowney bookends.

If they cut anyone on the line it will be Britt ($$). Finney could plug & start at Center.

Fluker is solid & doesn't make a whole lot. Releasing him would be a mistake. Lewis needs a year anyway to develop. I don't like the idea of starting Rookie lineman. It's typically a bad idea (Ifedi).

I'm fine with Iupati & Fluker starting. Haynes (LG), Lewis (RG), Warmack & Simmons is solid depth. Iupati will likely miss time at some point. So either Haynes or Warmack is pretty much in-line to start.

Not really a fan of letting Fluker go. But the Britt move has been coming. Free's up $12 Million.

New depth chart:

LT Brown/Jones
LG Iupati/Haynes/Pocic
C Finney/Hunt
RG *Lewis/Warmack/Simmons
RT Shell/Ogbuehi

With the cuts, It would seem Everson Griffen is the guy. Maybe bring in a guy like Snacks Harrison too.

I get a good feeling about this guy. The same type of feeling that I got when the Seahawks drafted Chris Carson in the 7th round. Not saying that he will be as productive as Carson but I feel that he will contribute in some manner for the Seahawks once he gets in their program and starts to develop. If he plays WR I can see him dropping 10-12 pounds in order to gain some more speed. That phone call was pure amazing emotion...he said put my name up there (on the tv screen). lol

Love the guy. But I think it's time to turn the page honestly. He's all but done. Stick with the young guys. DeeJay Dallas is an intriguing prospect. Carson should be ready to go. Penny might unfortunately have to start the season on PUP.
