Tyrell Terry and Spencer Jones

Terry needs to put on aaaaa lot of weight and get aaaa lot stronger in order to hold up at the NBA level. I see him as a late 2nd round pick. I’d rather have Isaiah Joe or Myles Powell if I’m looking for a shooting specialist.

When you say "hold up", what do you mean specifically? I mean, Isaiah Joe ain't heavy man.

Joe is 180. You can work with that. Add 10 lbs. No big deal. But 160? Yeesh...

Well, I think Tyrell played pretty much every game while Joe actually had some injury issues...just saying I don't think one is like impervious to injuries and the other isn't. Regardless, if Terry isn't a first-round pick I highly doubt he stays in the draft this year.

True. It's just some hyperbole meant to express how strongly I feel that he isn't going in the 1st round. There's just too many players that can do a lot more than just be a shooting specialist, in my opinion.

Just going off what I've been hearing. Also when a guy like Vecenie is talking about him going to Philly at 22, it's a good bet he's basing that partly on info he's gathered that he's being considered.

Right now on Tankathon hes slotted for the 30th pick but it wouldn't surprise me what you said, although it wouldn't surprise me if he rose up as we got closer. In a weak draft like this it really comes down to team needs as its harder to tell what BPA is or better yet there's little variance past pick 10.

It's just hard to trust Terry as a starter at 160 lbs. That doesn't mean he can't have a good career but I see his ceiling as a 6th man, his mid tier as a lesser bench scorer. How is he gonna defend anybody at this level? I mean, hes fast and seems to play hard. I didn't even know about him until a week ago and they list defense as a strength but idk. 160 is hard for you not to think he won't be a project but hey, screens and the 3 ball have made those fears less critical lately so...

Not many players I can name who were 6'1" and 165 lbs. Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf (Chris Jackson) comes to mind.

And even then, players were smaller across the board. Back then PGs were about 180-90 on average. I remember Steph Marbury looking jacked at 205. Nowadays that's lightweight so imagine somebody 160, who on top of that doesn't really have traditional PG skillset. He actually reminds me alot of Iverson and how he played the game.
