Since his playing days are over, aren't his assets high but his income much lower? Even without a pre-nup it's not anywhere as bad as getting married while being an active athlete, since the alimony would be quite high with an active NBA salary. Since most of his property is acquired prior to marriage it's going to be his after a separation, the only issue is income. I guess his main problem is "he has people to take care of" which means he can't have that income disrupted by an alimony judgment he can't control since he decided to make a bunch of friends and relatives livelihoods his personal obligation.

He's right to want a prenup but it kind of feels like Jackson was paranoid too thinking it was all an elaborate set up with the priest and "signing it under duress". He's already the father of a kid with her so he's on the hook for money either way.

I rather just pay child support than pay child support AND alimony. And you also have to consider the state laws they are in, in some states if they are married 5 years or so then the women will get alot more when they get divorced. IDK what state they were in but he could of and would of lost alot more marrying her. Smart choice by him.

Jackson is entertaining, but sounds like a complete train wreck of a relationship guy. I mean, who gets to the wedding day in that state? That’s not real love, absolutely ridiculous. The guy is a classic example of a man that never grew out of his young fck boy ways, just remained immature and is now crowing about it likes it’s normal. Basically, he’s an idiot. I’m embarrassed for him.

Not only that, I get it that he's hurt and stuff, but he has 2 kids with this woman and he calls her a hoe and a gold digger in public "keeping it real". I mean his kids can see this, easily. So he's not the sharpest tool in the shed. Even if she is, you're tied to this person for life due to having kids with her.
