I guess I agree, I am saying that JR won six titles and a world series but it always seems like more could have been done. He handled the press well, and I guess that lessened the criticism, but
most Chicago fans probably feel he could have / should have done way more.

Re: OT- The Last Dance documentary
I'm enjoying this "The Last Dance". It's nostalgia. My childhood, my teenage years. There's things I didn't know, most I've heard.
Love the behind the scenes.
We as fans always hear these comments/media bad mouthing guys and we/or I always wondered if these guys heard them as well. It's cool to see Jordan hears every dang thing that gets said about him. (Drexler being better, Dan Majerle supposedly can D up Jordan). Jordan made it a point he was better.
Even the eulogy at Kobe's wake. I've always dislike the Jordan "crying" meme. For him to actually acknowledge it and know it's out there, albeit, funny (his speech about it), he knows it's out there.
I'm taking this all in and enjoying it...and recording it. The memories.

also, bill wennington seems like a solid guy in the limited coverage of him. first we learn that he goes over to talk to rodman at practice when nobody else would. then tonight we see him laughing at seinfeld's joke as he exits the locker room after meeting w/ MJ
Was it just me or was that Seinfeld part awkward?
Sure, may come across that way to many ppl. I bet it felt awkward in that locker room but that is Jerry Seinfeld humor in a nut shell and that's what makes it great IMO. That last bit where he points to the board and says some random play wont work, its classic Seinfeld lol. I thought it was hysterical how Phil didn't give a f%%k about him.
phil didn't like having outsiders in the locker room. including GMs

It's almost 02:00 am here and I just finished episode 5 and 6 for the first time! After almost 2 hours of great Bulls memories and couple beers I am a kind.......just a kind of drunk and sentimental. I just realised that couple things I watched today have been 27 years ago....
....today I have two kids,,,,am i getting old?
....and still love the Bulls.....
....goddamn....how time flies!

How about that Dream Team practice footage? Unreal. Kudos to Magic for breaking the awkward silence on the bus.
The one thing that continues to stick out to me is how important it is to have great leadership on the team. You need it from the head coach and from at least one of the players. We have neither on today’s team. It’s a massive gap we need to fill. You can see how important it anytime they show MJ, Magic, Larry, Barkley, etc. Every team needs a leader and we need to find one bad.
I would pay good money to buy practice footage of MJ. There's got to be some good gems out there. I wonder who leaked MJ's one-on-one game with Corey Benjamin? Whoever did it, needs to leak more footage.
wow. didn't know that actually existed. watching it now. benjamin's tail between his legs

Here it is for others that have never seen it. Just **** great and Jordan looks good enough to play in the league.

Not that it really matters.......but Corey Banjamin wasn't a "rookie" on November 11, 1999.....it was his second season...if I am not wrong .....lol

I would have been all for giving Brand and Artest a few more seasons together... seeing them so young in the Corey Benjamin vid triggers my anti Krause feelings.

SeniorWalker wrote:Barkely went on the radio today and basically confirmed what I've always thought about this franchise since childhood. Mr. Reinsdorf didn't want to pay anyone and has tried to make Krause the fall guy.
total nonsense. barkley has zero inside knowledge about what happened and apparently doesn't have the knowledge that a lot of outsiders do either. everybody knows that JR was hesitant to pay MJ those balloon contracts, but jordan played hardball and he caved. at least part of the hesitance was what it would mean for nba contracts going forward, and there may have been some legitimacy to that thought process
If JR had paid his players, history is different.
there is not a single instance where JR did not pay players what they were worth at the time they signed the contract. he wanted to bring back MJ and phil, phil declined, MJ didn't want to play for another coach. and pippen wanted out. JR should have stepped in to quash the krause/phil feud before it got as bad as it did, but money was not the big issue
He's Vito corleone without the murder, which is why he keeps hacks with no integrity like KC Johnson on the payroll. Which is why so many high profile players over the years have avoided Chicago like the plague, word gets around the league. Everything about the franchise that I've hated since childhood, can be traced back to him, it's really just common sense but I'm glad at least some people know firsthand.
not a single player has ever said that they would not sign with the bulls because of jerry reinsdorf. it's surely been a factor for some, but "avoid like the plague?" hardly

He actually assembled a pretty talented young starting five in Brad Miller, Brand, Artest, Mercer, and Crawford. Maybe that team gels and matures with a better coach. Maybe he buys himself a few extra years if he allowed that team to grow into a playoff team.

A "BETTER COACH" would have change the face of this team for sure!

what in the world are you talking about? when has lebron james ever told anyone who to vote for? and who has ever said they voted for someone because lebron told them to?
there is absolutely nothing disgraceful about someone having an opinion and expressing it. as long as it's a responsible perspective. on the other side, it is perfectly legitimate to view someone selling out their beliefs for money as disgraceful

Big Pippen wrote:I was never a Kobe fan, but was impressed with the way MJ grew to mentor and support him over time. MJ obviously was the inspiration/model for Kobe, and its a little bit out of character for MJ not to be threatened by anything compared to him.
i think it's because, as he has said, he saw kobe as a baby brother-type. someone who obviously patterned his game and outlook and even his speech patterns after MJ. i think he also knew that kobe would never be as good as him and so had no cause to be threatened. i also think it's pretty evident that he DOES feel somewhat threatened by lebron (or at least the general perception that lebron belongs in the GOAT conversation, which is not the case w/ kobe). as evidenced by his reference to ring count when asked about whether lebron deserves to be compared

LeBron did campaign for Hillary in 2016 and I’d be surprised if he didn’t throw hi support to Joltin Joe eventually.

that's not "telling someone who to vote for." it's not like he was saying "if you're truly a lebron fan, you'll vote for hillary"

pretty interesting new interview w/ the director, including how stockton didn't want to participate in a MJ "puff piece", MJ didn't ask that anything get cut out, and that an additional outtakes episode would be considered if ESPN asked:
