Leon should make acquiring another 1st a priority; we're in a good position to be take on a contract w/ pick attached from teams looking to shed salary

agreed on cole, but I don't think we really need another first though. We already have two and it's not a strong draft

IMO if we have the ability to add another 1st—by renting out cap space—then we should absolutely do it; 2020 is likely to be another non-playoff season; the focus should be accumulating as much young talent as possible and seeing who sticks; get as many draft picks as possible b/c more bites at the apple gives you a better chance of finding impact players

I don't think it's a weak draft. Agreed, it's a weak draft in the top 10, lacking sure-fire stars, but the depth of this draft is solid w/ players like Bey, Nesmith, Lewis, Vassell, Ramsey, P. Williams to name a few; I see a lot of good role players emerging from this draft

I also agree. I’ll even attach our SRP for another 1st. I really want Nesmith and Ramsey.

I would be ok with combining assets to move up and get a earlier 1st rounder for our second pick. While the ceiling may not be as high with this draft there is some depth.

On the night of draft lottery:
-No lotto luck. Knicks pick 6th.

-Knicks fans:

-Knicks fans who carry on the tradition of NYKMentality: well, who cares. Remember, Michael Jordan was picked 3rd lololololol. I bet you picks 1-5 are busts. Pick 6 is the best historically. I BELIEVE. Let me get ready to type up a 3 page post hyping up Julius Randle.

-Knicks fans who believe in the lotto gods: This is what we get for tanking! We gotta win games! Elfrid Payton getting lots of minutes, hells yes. Taj Gibson, keep playing all those minutes. Oh man, we just benched all our youth...someone get me a change of underwear!

A few days later:
-Newspapers begin leaking that Cole Anthony is our pick.
-Knicks fans get pissed.

One week later:
-Knicks fans begin rationalizing the Cole Anthony pick and fooling themselves into liking it through a psychological phenomenon called cognitive dissonance.

A month later:
Workouts begin.
Wake up Leon!

On the day of the draft:
If Cole is good, he'll get drafted before 6 because the Knicks leaked all their info out. Probably by the Golden State Warriors
If Cole is bad, we pick him and Knicks fans cheer.
If the Knicks front office fooled us, we probably pick some rando from Europe. Cue crying young Knicks fan who goes viral.

Tell the truth (we’re a family here!), were you high when you wrote this post?

lmao nah but I'm flattered!

8-)

Knock, knock

Hey man, it’s Dave. Open up.

Yeah I don't think it is. A lot of these dudes won't make it and are getting hyped more because of how weak of a draft it is. I'm not excited about any of those guys. Sure they could come in and surprise people but I don't look at that and say we need to make a move to get another one of them. 2 and the early 2nd is more than enough imo.

If we're going to rent out cap space for a pick, which I do think should be a goal, I think I'd rather get another 2021 or 2022 pick

That Bulls documentary got me looking at Haliburton like the next Pippen. STFU I'm not calling him the next Pippen but I'm saying I can't get the thought out of my head about their similarities

Now that I think of it maybe Haliburton will be better as a wing player than lead guard, he's got those type of qualities.

Check out Henri Drell too can be our new Gallo rather use a 2nd round pick on him than a top 10 for Deni
