• Ntilikina’s shooting needs substantial work. Ntilikina has the 17th lowest effective field goal percentage for any player with at least 1,000 shots in his first three seasons since 1990. And only Ronnie Price has a lower effective field goal percentage (minimum 1,000 shots) since the start of the 2010-11 season —

The long mid-range jumpers remain a part of his repertoire and a large one. Ntilikina took long 2s on 24 percent of his shot attempts, per Cleaning The Glass, which put him in the 89th percentile among point guards — somehow still down from his rookie season when he shot them 35 percent of the time. To save a debate about the efficacy and place of the mid-range jumper for the cranky retired players and the take industrial complex, Ntilikina wasn’t even good at them. He shot 41 percent on these, which puts him in the bottom half at his position. Shooting bad shots and missing them too often is no way to live. Ntilikina has an affinity for the shot. It’s a part of his pregame workouts and he seems to look for it as a go-to move when defenses sag on him. At the very least he could choose to take a step back when the defender guarding him is giving him the 3 or too far off to truly contest.

By career VORP (value over replacement player), Ntilikina is the second-worst player in his draft class

you took the 3 snippets from the article that was mostly positive about frank

Wiseman will put up numbers but I think a good playmaking guard or wing would be more valuable for us.

What if we get Cade Cunningham next year to pair up with Wiseman :D

randle and wiseman leading us to the worst record in the NBA?

If Frank is the point guard feeding them then we'll def be the worst

If that's the case, and you had to decide on these two players, who do you guys value more: Saddiq Bey vs. Devin Vassell?

Who do you guys think more highly of and who would be a better Knick right away and long-term? Bey's slightly more advanced offensive game vs. Vassell's defensive skills (and his shooting too)?

I like both guys -- currently torn on who would be a better pick for us.

PF Jalen Smith from Maryland is another guy I could be interested in in a move up from 25. I think he makes a lot of sense too, as a PF in waiting that plays both ends, once we move on from Portis and Gibson, maybe Randle too if the right deal came along.

Please give me some thoughts on these 3 players.

between these two, I'd take vassell, younger with more upside, my principle. looks like he could be a good 3 and D guy. I also like Jalen Smith. We have the 27th pick not 25. I think one of these guys might even end up just being there at 27. I wouldn't trade up.

if a team of rj, randle, and wiseman (and whoever you trade mitch for which you have been suggesting) is the worst team in the league. We have a lot more issues than Frank and you know it.

Nah we won’t be the worst if we have a good point guard feeding them. Not even close.

You have to be mad aweful to be in the Cade Cunningham discussion as #1. There are a slew of shooting guards and small forwards next year but few point guards. This is the year to go all out for them.

But I thought next year's draft is full of centers according to you..

Not true. Outside of Cade Cunningham, the 2021 draft is loaded with bigs. In this draft is where we should address our 3 and 4, not now with your pick Wiseman.

Since you forgot again

According to The Athletic's Sam Vecenie, Wiseman is viewed as the best center in the draft class by "a majority of evaluators," and he "has unquestionably the best tools."

"Wiseman is 7'1" and moves extremely well for his size," Vecenie wrote. "His 7'6" wingspan allows him to protect the rim at a high level. He also has solid shooting potential and will be an elite rim-runner as a roller."

Even if we get a 0-81 season, it will be only 14% of odds to land Cade.

No worries. That's why you take Karim Mane/Tre Jones and Payton Pritchard with our later picks in this draft. Good insurance if you can't get Cade next year.

less the solid shooting potential. Which is still just potential.

How is that any different than describing Mitchell Robinson?
