5 seconds into the interview - during the introduction! - and Joe coughs right into his hand. I guess he forgot there was a pandemic going around.

Oh yeah haven't you heard, the law doesn't apply to him or his elitist friends.

Yeah, I don’t think he did it to show the rules don’t apply to him. His mind is simply deteriorating. He wasn’t even aware what he did.

I think he did the same thing with Jake Tapper who called him out on that.

Obama sending signal to Biden to step his game up.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/04/opinion/axelrod-plouffe-joe-biden.html

What Joe Biden Needs to Do to Beat Trump
To win, he has to find a way to get beyond the basement tapes and project himself into our ever more digital world.

By David Axelrod and David Plouffe
Mr. Axelrod was the senior strategist for President Barack Obama’s campaigns in 2008 and 2012; Mr. Plouffe was Mr. Obama’s campaign manager in 2008.

Joe Biden’s most memorable moments on the campaign trail have come through spontaneous, intensely moving encounters with people who, like Mr. Biden, have endured searing struggle and loss. His authentic sense of empathy is a quality uniquely suited to this agonizing moment.

Now Mr. Biden is mired in his basement, speaking to us remotely, like an astronaut beaming back to earth from the International Space Station.

The former vice president is a man of vast experience in government. He ran the Recovery Act for President Obama in 2009 during the economic crash and was Mr. Obama’s active partner during other crises like the H1N1 pandemic that same year and the 2014 Ebola outbreak.

Yet in the midst of a catastrophic vias and devastating economic coma that command our full attention, Mr. Biden finds himself on the outside looking in. Governors and mayors have taken center stage in the only story that matters.

And while President’s Trump’s well-watched White House briefings have been, for him, a decidedly mixed bag, video of the president in action has been a striking contrast to the image of his solitary challenger, consigned to his basement.

Whether the president’s rollicking open-mic nights endure and actually help him is highly questionable. The percentage of Americans who trust what he is saying about the crisis is dismally low and falling. Mr. Trump has consistently trailed Mr. Biden in public polling and the president’s fate may well be inexorably tied to perceptions of his handling of the crisis and the path the virus and the economy take from here.

But that’s an assumption the Biden campaign can ill afford to make.

As with every other facet of our lives, the Covid-19 pandemic has transformed how the presidential race will be run. Every aspect of campaigning must be rethought, from how you present yourself and reach and organize voters to how you stage a national convention in a time when large public gatherings are proscribed.

Adjusting to the new political realities is imperative for Mr. Biden, who ran his first campaign for office a half-century ago. In order to break through and be heard, he will have to up the tempo of his campaign, fully utilize his army of powerful surrogates and embrace a new suite of virtual, data-driven tools and creative tactics.

Online speeches from his basement won’t cut it. Written pronouncements on this issue or that may have won attention during his many years in office, but will get little pickup now. Broadcast interviews are fine, but most valuable only if they generate a great and memorable line that becomes a widely shared and consumed video moment.

A history of Joe Biden’s lies. I forgot about some of these. Biden even lied about how his wife and child were killed in that car crash falsely claiming that it was a drunk driver. It was not. Biden also had to quit the ‘88 presidential primary due to plagiarism.

Bernie not dropping out...but canceling his campaign was weird and doesn't make sense...unless he was just waiting for Joe to fall on his face. Is it even possible for him to win? I know in my heart Biden is toast. It's just a waste of time. This is worse than the last election. Add in the virus and Alzheimer's kicking in...the lies. Biden is not beating Trump. He can't even form coherent thoughts into sentences. How's he gonna run the country like that?

The New York Board of Elections is appealing the ruling of the federal judge (Obama appointee) putting Bernie (and I must assume the others as well) on the ballot for the June 23 primary. Yay for democracy!

Fck my former Party.

Bernie conceding but staying on ballots is with a goal of getting more delegates for the convention. With Bernie throwing support behind Biden, it's the last play for any leverage over the direction the platform and party takes. This is the stated reason from Bernie's campaign surrogates and the people at Our Revolution.

The other reason Bernie wants to be on ballots is to help draw attention to down ballot challengers. In NY especially, there are some good progressives with good chances to win. Jamaal Bowman is a nice example of someone who has been working his way up. I'm not sure it matters much with Bernie conceding though. We just watched a candidate who had some steam in Morgan Harper get mollywhopped by Joyce Beatie. To be fair though, that was always an uphill battle but other tough battles had been closer when Bernie was viable like Cisneros who came within a hairs breadth of being the youngest member of Congress.

This thread need a bit of comedy from the dark side. George Conway and Trump and going at it. I love this Conway guy. It’s amazing Trump keeps Kellyanne around with all the stuff her husband does and says. Here’s George’s new campaign ad against Trump. It’s great.

Another piece of corroborating evidence has surfaced from the transcript of the testimony of Reade's now ex-husband during a divorce proceeding. It's not dispositive but it is another piece of solid evidence.

I know the DNC doesn’t care but it seems that the DNC voters are buying the Kool Aide. This is a new level of hypocrisy in the Democratic Party which put on these whole dog and pony shows over Kavanaugh and Weinstein and Trump and it’s all bullchit. I dunno, maybe I was naive.

They clearly pumped him up with something for that last debate with Bernie. It was amazing. The Joe Biden who was barely able to string two thought together was suddenly up there sounding like Winston Churchill.

I've stated many times on here and other places that I'm convinced beyond the shadow of a doubt that Trump is in fact taking speed.

Could it be the methamphetamine or amphetamine version? Either one.

Dilated pupils under super bright TV kleig lights.
Rambling talk and inability to stay on topic
Boastful talk worse than that cokehead who corners you at a party
Tons of energy for a septuagenarian fat bast*rd with a sh*t diet
Bad skin
Sniffling and snuffling constantly

I've been around enough users of all the various stimulants. I've enjoyed them myself, thank you very much.

But he's have to crash out bad at some point, right? I was never my thing so I'm not sure what the side effects are, etc. My understanding was that it was Aderall. But I never took that either, unfortunately. Maybe with some Aderall, I could've gotten in Harvard or become a better guitarist.

So check this out just for laughs. It's a review of Biden's virtual town hall yesterday. If you even just watch the first minute. What a disaster. This is how he going to beat Trump?
