What do y'all think we do with the remaining Picks?
Think we actually pick 13 times? Or trade into next year, with some of them?

Edit:
I thought that we couldn't trade Compensatories.
But looks like the NFL Started allowing that in the 2017 Draft.

Pats finagling a lot of Trading. I'll bet they're not done yet.
We don't have a 4th Rounder now. I expect to get that back.

Classic Belichick draft: they seem to be trading up for guys who weren’t expected to go until much later, and have me learning about prospects I haven’t heard of (I don’t follow draft stuff closely) and hoping he’s right (in the draft, no one always is and he often isn’t). Makes it interesting, that’s for sure.

Is there an easy analysis of how NE drafts have ranked over the last 10 years or so?

No QB in the draft. Surprising.

They weren't that early on most of these guys. D2 or no, Dugger was widely expected to go in the 2nd round, for instance. Also keep in mind there are now five other head coaches in the league trying to duplicate the Patriot Way with similar players.

As to rating their drafts, due to their constant success, they tend to pick near the bottom of the order every time. Offset in part only due to their high number of comp picks.

At first glance, very happy with what they did on Day 2.

Irrespective of draft position, they consistently zig compared to others’ zags. Curious if there’s any credible analysis of how it’s been working out on average.

Pats drafted their entire O Line (Solder, Thuney, Andrews, Mason, Cannon) from the super Bowl years as well as Brady, Gronk, Edelman, White on offense. Defensively D-Mac, Harmon, Chung, Hightower, Collins, Roberts, Flowers were all Pats draft picks. They’ve had some dud draft picks. They’ve acquired key contributors via FA (Gilmore) and trade (Van Noy) but the majority of the core guys were drafted.

It's sad to see they both seemed to have left the team over issues with Bill. The receiver situation last season was the nail in the dynasty's coffin. Sucks that in a different situation, we maybe could have had Gronk back last season. Bill is a legendary coach, but unfortunately his stubborness and difficulties with players is also what he's legendary for.

Red had special rules for Bill Russell because he was so damn good. You could make the argument that Brady and Gronk deserved the same treatment given their status in reguards to their positions.

Cant really agree with that. Gronk had special treatment to the point where it got annoying. His dad always talked about Gronk’s injuries. And when and how much he should play and practice. He also did whatever he wanted off the field and Belichick always gave him a pass.

It’s was only after Belichick had a trade done with Detroit along with a FRP that he got mad at Bill.

As for Brady, I dont think Brady should hold a grudge or be mad, he accepted being treated the same way as any other player.

Truth is Belichick wanted to move on from both before they decided to leave.

I also dont think Bill feels betrayed, Kraft should not have vetoed Brady getting traded. We would have had Jimmy G. Now it may be Stidham. Belichick wants this and wants to win without Brady. Brady also has that goal.

But just remember how the Patriots looked in Miami in week 2 with AB and how they ended last season. I dont think Brady and Gronk (a year off from football) are going to the super bowl. Neither are the Pats but at least we can begin a rebuild now. It had to come at some point.
