Durant will destroy you with his elite shooting efficiency from multiple spots on the floor, but he's not going to dominant individual matchups. He's always been a mediocre creator.

Ya know what nobody was really talking about before the league went on hiatus? Josh Jackson's resurgence in Memphis.

Last 5 games: 16.6 ppg on 59.5% true shooting with elite defense

It's worth mentioned that he's being mentored by Tony Allen. Tony had a similar troubled background.

The jumpshot form is noticeably reworked.

I think that's what is required for many of these draft picks unfortunately. They need to completely blow it in their first opportunity, be humbled, and refocus on their priorities. Fultz probably still needs it in the G-League, Ball could have used some time to fix his jumper... That's why the draft is a crapshoot for people who can't sit down and have a conversation with the recruits to get an understanding of their mental makeup.

If he gets to +70% FT, +33% 3FG then he could completely redeem himself.

I wonder if they regret declining his team option in October. Josh will be available in free agency. Could be a potential game-changing acquisition for his next team.

I guess the Sixers would be wise to monitor the Dennis Smith situation.

I don't mind waiting for guys to mature and work out their shooting problems as long as they're defending and have creating abilities.

Until Josh Jackson will make a big leap with his perimeter shooting (which for me is still possible), I dont think he will be able to play a major role in a NBA team.

I think the attitude is the most important thing that will determine his opportunities, going forward. Even without the jumper, there's always going to be demand for a 6'8" athlete with elite defense.

Not if they cant shoot or playmake, unless they play center. Teams cant really afford offensively liabilities and the Sixers even less so. If you cant shoot or make plays you had better be a constant lob threat and make sure that everyone else on your team is a good shooter. This is part of the reason Capella was traded.

I really like this, a humbled Dennis Smith could be a productive spark off the bench.

Unlike Trey Burke, Dennis Smith can and will defend the point of attack very well. That may grant him more opportunities in the rotation.

So Leon Rose' plan seems like:

- "poach" Elton Brand
- trade for Chris Paul
- trade for Joel Embiid

Blake and Ben would be.... interesting. Ben is supposed to be in the Blake mold if he ever shoots threes.

JRich is not really a good enough shooter to fix that pairing. I won't even get started with Tobias. If we could package those two to get someone like Buddy Hield, then I'd be on board.

Shake
Hield
Ben
Blake
Biid

That grouping would likely foul out every front court it would face.

Blake feels like a worse fit, with a worse contract and worse injury history. Him and Jo would just get in each others way with where they like to get the ball, and Ben would probably be standing right next to them. I don't really think trading Horford for another big does anything for this team. Go get some shooters and playmakers.

Blake is a worse fit than Horford, likely a worse player from now on and is paid more money.

Trading for Blake because you are desperate is one thing, trading him when you dont even need a player in his position is another. Embiid,Simmons and Harris is a big enough team.

Having said that i would be surprised if we moved Horford. Even trading him for expirings wouldnt help the Sixers because they are trying to contend now.So the Sixers would need some real value back which is doubtful because Horford has a negative contract. We would need a player in a similar situation (still impactful player that his team wants to get rid of) that is a better fit which is hard to find.

That's not really Blake's game anymore.

He's much more of a perimeter creator now. He plays on the ball and scores a lot of unassisted buckets. He's basically an offensive wing these days.

Yeah, Blake is definitely a wing these days. Him running the pick and roll with Embiid in playoff games would be money.

The only thing funnier than Harden being coached by Thibs would be Durant/Irving being coached by Thibs lol.

If Steph can get to winning 5-6 rings, which is more possible than LeBron winning 5-6. Steph is 3 years younger.

I think we’d consider steph as our generation’s jordan and bron as our Larry Bird.

Thats a big IF though..
