I think Patrick Williams could provide us actual minutes as a sub for Harris. I feel like our focus should be to defend Giannis, Kawhi, LeBron and he fits that fluidity, length, and defensive awareness while not really sacrificing a 3&D ability. If you give him one job, he could have been a good fit for us this year with potential long term expansion of skills.
Williams' skillset is definitely in the mold of an early contributor. My cause for pause with him is his lack of experience. No collegiate starts and only 22.5 mpg of action. In this made up fantasy scenario of dropping freshman into the NBA playoffs, he might be a little too inexperienced.
I'm actually kind of curious of this. One-&-done 6th men. The handful of guys that I can think of took a while to get going in the NBA.
Marvin Williams
Zach Lavine
Zach Collins
Devin Booker seems like the one guy that hit the ground running pretty fast. And him being a 6th man was a pretty unprecedented circumstance. That Kentucky roster was generationally loaded.
