Just wanted to update you all with a bit of not so good news.

When NBA eventually resumes (as a continuation or a new season) Do not expect Luka to be in good shape, rather expect that to be one of the main problems.

Just giving you heads up about it

Luka is 20 years old, he is a stud and he has an absolutely beautiful girlfriend, he is sure to stay active in confinement .... seriously he is very young the body responds well and also his game is more based on talent than purely physical ... I prefer to be positive

Before, when the season was going on, the talk was "Luka tired, he can't handle a full season". Now he has a long time to rest "Out of shape".

In all seriousness, whenever the NBA gets back... and if they get back to finish this season, they will have some sort of "pre-season" preparation. They won't go back to immediately playing games.

Surely Luka is working out adequately to keep in shape and then when he gets back to the US, they'll probably have a couple of weeks to prepare. Ideally, he is doing more than "just keeping in shape" though. One thing we know --- the ankles and the finger injury should be 100% with all the rest.

By the way, good to know that things are controlled in Slovenia.

Luka has a star, one of those guys who always fall on his feet, he has been very lucky for Dallas to bet so hard on him, that they would give him the keys, to have Carlisse at DIRK, I suppose they knew but it is not usual for a child to good that it is, played almost from the beginning so many minutes in a dominant team in Europe, because up to that he was lucky since Rudy and Llull (stars in Europe) were injured .. of course all this accompanied by a talent that I never saw in Europe at such a precocious age or perhaps at no age, what I am trying to say is that I believe that he is blessed and we are facing the future best European player in history .... Enjoy it !!

Just doesn't seem like Luka will ever look ripped and athletic. He pretty much just looks like a an average guy (discounting his size of course). Bluesan is constantly depressed about Luka's ability to sustain a full season at a high level, so unless Luka starts to look like Hulk, it won't change.

He looks the same to me, which is good.

He is never going to be ripped like Lebron... Neither was Dirk, and that worked out ok for us as well

It is not that, I told you I got info from people being close to Luka after NBA got canceled and he ain't exactly doing hardcore preparations and not saying the rest of the NBA is. But saying that definitely you would want to see that from your top guy and one of the top players and prospects of the NBA. That is all.

Especially since we know some of the others are definitely doing just that.

And I am not even talking about him lifting or whatever cause there is no time for that, that's what you are doing in between the seasons and would actually mess up with his preparation. I am talking about his preparations for resuming the season and meanwhile letting himself go.

I am not depressed, but I am disappointed I admit that, I want Luka to be great, but to be great you need to work your ass off

Luka has been working out in for couple of weeks and fully recovered from wrist injury. He was playing with injuries before season postpone, now he is fully recovered.

My feeling is, he is invested and works everyday on his body. But it's not like some other dudes, who work really really hard. He is not there yet mentally. And it's ok I guess, he has time to progress. Yesterday his conditioning coach was talking about his effort and I heard in his voice it's good but not great. That's also what I heard from people who were around. He doesn't really like conditioning training.
They workout 2 hours per day and then in the afternoon they play ball or tennis.

He has such a big frame, I wonder if he shouldn't defend PF. He seems to have a larger frame than Kleiber or Powell, and maybe it's foolish to think that he'll ever become slim enough to defend smaller-faster players.
