Easy.

Rose
Brown
Snell
Griffin
Wood

Detroit ain't going to rebuild from the gate by starting a rookie. FWIW I think we'll have two first rounder rookies - I think Kennard will be dealt for a later second one. I have a feeling there is a bit of friction behind the scenes with Kennard here and how long it took him to come back

Deni and Theo will be our picks. Front office favors international players because they won't have a built in hate for Detroit and more likley to be able to re-sign if the money is equal. You get lucky and draft an American born super star and they got googoo eyes for LA, NY or South Beach before they play their first game.

If we can get a little lucky and with good management decisions, things can evolve pretty well.
The mission for us should be to have 2 top 10 picks in 2021 Draft.

0.1. Fire Stefanski, give the keys to someone new: Malik Rose? Billups? Someone like Sean Marks.
0.2. Fire Casey, hire Atkinson.
1. Draft night 2020, select a scorer: if we get 1st pick, draft Edwards. If we stay at 5, draft Avdija.
2.1. This summer, trade cap space for bad contracts and picks.
2.2. This summer, re-sign Wood without overpaying.
2.3. This summer, give Hall a contract and a chance.
3. In December/January, trade an healthy Griffin and grab a stud and/or a pick in the equation.
4. At the deadline, trade Rose, Snell and Kennard for good picks or picks and studs.
5.1. Draft night 2021, use our new acquired picks and studs to move up in the draft.
5.2. Draft night 2021, select a PG and mobile C: Cunningham and Mobley should be our targets.
6.1. Summer 2021, re-sign both Brown and Svi.
6.2. Summer 2021, sign Ntilikina.

2021-2022 roster
Mobley/Wood/Hall
Wood/Doumbouya/FA or draft
Doumbouya/Svi
Edwards/Brown
Cunningham/Ntilikina

One man can dream, right? :)

PG - Lamelo Ball - Rose
SG - Brown - Hayes
SF - SVI - Doumbouya
PF - Wood -
C - Wiseman -
...

perfect world would be Ball, Wiseman, and Hayes. In that order. :) That won't happen. But those are my three guys

PG - Lamelo Ball - Rose
SG - Kennard - Svi
SF - Snell - Svi
PF - Blake - Doumbouya
C - Wood - Maker

Drafting Ball, you can hide Kennard on PGs. I hope we Draft Ball! I think he can have the same impact as Luka with ball being 6'8

Ball as pick
Somehow get a second pick and bring Tillman in
Sign FA harrell
Resign wood and Maker and call it a offseason

Potential kennard/snell trade for an Upgrade at SG

Ball/Rose/Bone
Kennard/Brown/Thomas
Svi//Doumbouya/Snell
Harrell/Griffin/Tillman
Wood/Maker/griffin

Do we have 'forum bucks' on this site? I'd bet anyone any amount that no rookie - especially Lamelo Ball - will be in our starting lineup on opening night.

They might cause they might try to bring guys like Rose off the bench again in their way of load management (even though he plays big mins anyways).

And Blake who even knows whats gonna go on with him playing consistent mins.

So i could see a guy like Ball starting who has much better court vision and playmaking/passing ability then Rose who is more of a iso scorer trying not to get hurt.

I think that the lineup will be the following:

Maker
Wood (if he resigns)
Snell
Kennard
Rose
Bench/Rest of Rotation:
Griffin
Brown
SVI
Doumbouya
Wiseman

With Griffin’s injuries, he can lead the second unit. Maker plays Limited matchup minutes. Doumbouya still doesn’t beat Snell for minutes. Brown plays backup PG unless we draft one. I don’t think that we draft Ball but think that Wiseman might be their guy (ugh).

2nd
Would you trade the pick too if we would have the top pick??? Or would you look After another Player than?

Is that a hypothetical situation where the Jazz/Suns front office is replaced by Detroit Pistons fans?

I don’t think Kennard and our pick gets either Booker or Mitchell.

Isn't Wood a UFA? Not sure why so many are assuming he'll be here.

Guess most of us believe he'll re-sign here.

Pistons have cap space, Wood has a defined role here, he will be back unless someone goes way over the top for him. My only worry would really be about the NYK, but they already have Mitchell Robinson, so I'm not sure how that would work out.

The article is nothing but idle speculation. The title is clickbait.

I won’t trade Luke in any deal for Horford. Horford is an immediate hang up. If they would have to include Simmons to get me to accept taking Horford back. Hard pass.
