Memphis was already a playoff team and if you add our top 10 to their core and they’d probably end up picking 20th

I would like to take on salary to acquire another 1st round pick for next year though. We already have 2 1sts, wouldn’t mind a 3rd

If we were to take wiseman we could then trade Mitch and other pieces for another top 10 pick.

Cole,Rj and wiseman would be a very intriguing core.

Just used them as an example.

I’d be a little weary about taking on salary for the extra 1st. Still would like to be major players in loaded 2021 FA.

And before anyone says it, I know we haven’t had success in FA, but we gotta go in there full force, loaded on draft picks and rising young talent. RJ/Mitch taking the next step will really help that.

is he a winning player, iowa state wasn't winning, 9-13 when he got injured

That's lazy. College is a different game and he was tossed into a role that doesn't suit him. He's not a 1A. He should be your 4th best player on a good team, not a #1, even if it's in College.

Knicks have to pray that either they move up or a team who doesn't need a lead guard lands at number 1. Finally make a move up in the draft and get their man Lamelo. The shot in the arm this team and this city needs.

It depends on what they want. No LaMelo isn’t worth a future knicks pick, nor do I think he’s worth the Mavs 2021 pick, or the Knicks taking Wiggins contract. He’s really good, I don’t think he is Luka Doncic change your franchise good.

He isn't which is why absolutely no Knicks future 1st rounders should be on the table if they want to move up.

I haven't been more unsure about a draft class in years. I wake up one day hoping for one guy and then settle on another later in the day. There isn't one sure fire lock in this draft class.

I am going to continue my campaign for the knicks to move up to #16 or #17 and grab Patrick Williams. Some mocks have him available at #27 but why risk it?

The Nets wrote about him and they as a fan base and a FO focus on talent that slips. In a class of of strong sophomores and juniors a freshmen like Williams should get notice. He has a strong frame, likely could have scored more at Florida since he looked like the second best player next to Vassell. Also Florida was looking like it was ready to make a run in the tournament. Both he and Vassell would have probably gone higher if they had had that opportunity.

:o He reminds me physically of Buck Williams so it's interesting that the Nets would hone in on him. He's got an NBA-ready body. He covers a lot of ground in a short amount of time defensively, kinda like Mitch does. FT % is sold at 84%. He's able to put the ball on the floor and put up soft mid-range jumpers with nice arc. He's only shooting 32% on his 3-ball attempts.

He extends his range to the 3 and you got a really good D&3 Wing who can go in there and maybe hold their own like Draymond does defensively against Bigs. Even without the range he looks like he can be a glue guy and crash the boards well.

It would be interesting to bring him here and try to slot him at the 3/4 with Knox off the bench. That’s a lot of athleticism going at other teams reserves.

He might take Knox's lunch

The only one worth moving is the 2023. Look up the 2021 draft class and appreciate how much better it is than this one.

im against trading an unprotected 2021 1st rounder for LaMelo.

If we get a top 3 pick I probably take him. If we are picking 7th or 8th I'm not trading the neccassary ammo to get up there.

who said he wont? I''m not seriously considering him an option since we have less than a 10% chance to get him due to our odds. I'm focusing on the rest of the group. Our history suggest we aren't moving up.

I’d send our pick if it was somewhat protected minimum top 5

nope, I know this is the new thing on the block. But 2021 class is significantly better. Once you are starting to scout Cade. You will realise he is much better.

Shoot Scout Bj Boston and then notice he is considered a late lottery player next year. That class is going to be really nice. 2022 is the double draft. That 2023 Mavs pick should definitely be moved cause that draft is going to be badly depleted.

Cade is going to be a top 5 pick. If we don’t land there we can’t get him anyway. That’s what the protection is there for

That’s the point 8-) . Realistically they look like different players. Patrick looks like the forward version of Shump, Strong, on the court mean streak, will get the work done, potentially an above average defender. Knox flashes something more, if he ever figures it out.
