also re: the 2k DOJ attorneys calling for Barr to step down, they did this just 3 months ago re: the Stone trial.

and thousands of law professors signed a petition before 2016 saying that Trump was unfit to be a candidate, much less a sitting president.

and i know that attorneys by and large are self-important hacks, especially legal academics, but they are subject matter experts re: law and governance.

AOC co-chairing the Biden's environmental task force is exactly the kind of thing that needs to happen. Good for her. Now we need more people from the progressive movement to climb aboard. Biden wasn't my choice by a long shot but he's historically been willing to compromise and has frequently re-evaluated his positions. This new wave stands a chance to actually stick and achieve something by gradually (or not so gradually, historically speaking) taking over the party from the inside. Realistically speaking, at best these old politicians are going to be part of the beginning and the major parts are going to be played by younger politicians, most of whom we don't even know about yet.

I completely agree, and I think it's great that people like AOC are being elevated in a potential Biden presidency. It's also pretty clear that people who were shrieking about Bernie being totally unwilling to cooperate and compromise were very much wrong because he not only endorsed Biden but is actively working with Biden.

I'm not a fan of Biden and still am not, but I was going to vote for him regardless because the alternative is Trump. If Biden is ever President and he ends up being far more progressive than the way he campaigned, I'll adjust my opinion accordingly.

Graham would piss his pants having to face Obama and knowing he's got nothing. Actually he probably is pissing his pants now... reading his own comments verbally eviscerating Trump in 2016 - far more harshly than Obama ever did.

I disagree, gtn. It's not shrieking and the point still stands. There is a LOT of Bernie praise going on here and I'm still not sure he deserves it. A lot of the work was done by others, not Bernie. Why does Bernie's name even have to be attached to this? Why not just let AOC take credit because she took a more pragmatic view and was roasted by Bernie truthers for it after the fact? Bernie only shifted gears well passed the point when it was waaaaay obvious and everyone else had already shifted gears before him and started laying the groundwork yet he's getting credit? I think it's more clear than ever that his ego is still a major factor and I'll be happy when we can move passed it into the younger group of politicians that are on the cusp of making changes Bernie only wishes he could have achieved.

Maybe they should have a Coronavirus team - at least for now - to help show how he would do things differently and point out the truth - that while Trump keeps saying he wants to open everything up - he's doing nothing to make that a good move. He's failed MISERABLY in issuing guidance to the states and prevented scientific based organizations from doing so, he's failed miserably with methods of providing supplies, he roundly criticized Georgia's governor for opening too soon - completely confusing everyone, he's moronically recommended dangerous treatments, he continues to make it difficult for scientists to give their views, he has a son-in-law who he's letting go off the grid trying to make money off this for his buddies. Trump's done a ridiculously lazy job if he really wants to open things back up. Maybe he doesn't want it to open up - so he can blame that on the Dems. That would certainly match up with his actions and complete lack of integrity.

That would be a brilliant move.

In doing so, emphasize reducing loss of life and ramping the economy up as quickly as possible. Talk about how federal leadership would help the states...

"I don’t think now’s the time for me to do that. I don’t know if that’s even possible. I have grave concerns about the role of executive privilege and all kinds of issues,” Graham said in a brief interview. “I understand President Trump’s frustration, but be careful what you wish for. Just be careful what you wish for.”

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Officially the most dystopian place on the planet, US has lost all right to lesson the world. I feel 4 years ago these alt-right people wouldnt be so courageous to showcase their ignorance, I wonder what changed, and who empowered them? Hm...
