I'm pretty much the opposite to where i want a PG that actually plays PG the way it should be played and passing and racking up assists is that way. The PG runs and sets up the offense and is supposed to make the players around him better. This is why players like Lebron who aren't the natural size/weight of PG's plays point forward and handles the ball so much, cause he's so good at finding the open man when his shot isn't there. If i just wanted the guy playing the PG spot to just be a scorer then i'll just stick A.Trier at PG and let him score. I want the next C.Paul or J.Kidd. I want the guy that's gonna handle the ball the most to make everyone else on the floor better.
Shame n you for wanting a point guard who knows how to run an offense!

Haliburton is the fall back option for me. I'm not leaving Coleslaw on the table to take Haliburton. If Cole is there, I'm taking him before Haliburton because he has potential to be better than Haliburton so I get it completely and I agree with him

that is a fine approach for me. If your shooting for the stars Cole at his best probably has a higher ceiling than Haliburton. But the question does he get there?

haliburton will be better than frank. he'll be a good player. but the knicks really need a point or wing who can be a dynamic scorer from multiple spots on the floor. more than they even need a point guard specifically. they need someone from 1-3 who you can give the ball to and can create at a high level.

Hayes has the most question marks and if his ceiling is Goran Dragic then that's not exactly higher ceiling than Haliburton. Cole has All Star potential so he's the obvious pick and he's the best iso scorer out of the 3. Hayes would be an option if the other 2 are off the table but even then I'm wondering if he's worth the gamble or should we just trade down or even not even go PG with that pick. There are quite a few players who are pretty skilled and have some nice potential that are better than Hayes who we can consider.

It really depends on the draft order. Don't think any team knows exactly who they want and where so if teams don't know then mocks don't know. Mocks have and will continue to be wrong. Players rise and fall all the time and there really isn't any locks this draft besides maybe Melo going top 3. I've seen Wiseman fall out of the top 5, Edwards falling out of top 3 in a mock, even Lamelo falling out of top 3 in some mocks. Not even knowing the draft order its hard to predict who is going where. But if Cole is there, no matter where we pick, that would be great.

Right Hayes has the lower ceiling yet every single mock draft out there has him way over Cole...

Cole Anthony couldn't average over 5 assists on a Roy Williams's coached UNC Tarheels squad.........think about that.
Research all the UNC Tarheel point guards that were drafted in the first round in the last several years and see their college assist numbers, then check out Cole Anthony's. Cole ain't a PG. They know it too because they are considering paying 85 million to have CP3 teach him. Its a bad decision, leading to another bad decision.
All because they didn't draft Donovan? Its a pure lolknicks move.
Quick name another decent player on that team...........
In order to have good assist numbers you need to have a team that can shoot. From my understanding he had good numbers in high school. Yes I understand that's a lot different but it shows the willingness to pass.
Ummmmmm you also get assists from passing to a player for layups and dunks as well.
You mean the two players that did nothing but clog the paint? Like I said name another decent player on that team...... They suck!!

Sounds like Brandon Ingram who can play the 1-3. In an ideal world we manage to do a trade for him. Hope Pelicans become cheap and look to make a value trade.
Won’t bet in finding what you described in this draft.
I was high on Ant-Man but won’t be surprised if he ends up disappointing.

You guys just don't value defense enough. Mikal is turning into one of the best defensive players in the league. And he is not a liability on offense with a 62% ts%. He does a little of everything. At #9/#10, you are most likely getting just a solid starter and Mikal is turning into that.
Not bpa, but still better then Miles/Knox.
Knox pretty much is a liability on both ends. Miles is ok, but just not efficient. A player like Mikal is more valuable
Knox could still end up better. I see a path for it. But right now, yes, much worse.
