Was I seeing things? I remember the wrestling/NWO story, but did he really show up for practice the next day in pajama pants and a t-shirt?

I feel like Dennis is a dude you’d love to play with.

Despite the ehhh “extra stuff“, he was a straight dog on the court.

Unpopular opinion but I don’t think the Bulls win a game 7 against the Jazz in 98. The Bulls were running on fumes.

And in episode 10, Dennis Rodman sets the record for this docuseries with an impressive 5 f-bombs in about 10 seconds.

That, coupled with his wrestling with Hulk Hogan between games 3 and 4 and then showing up the next day for practice in pajamas, he was the MVP of episode 10.

If Pippen's back was in the same shape for a theoretical game 7 as it was during game 7, it would've been really tough for the Bulls to win.

But I don't know, there was just this aura about Jordan at the time that he would just get it done no matter what. Is that fantasy more than reality? Sure. But it's hard to think Jordan wouldn't have found a way to still get it done in game 7, at home, even if Pippen and his back were still in bad shape.

Andrea Kremer is right...

It's amazing how ridiculous Jordan's celebrity still far exceed's any other athlete's celebrity while not having the aid of the 24-hour news cycle and social media to constantly promote him. As worldwide famous as Kobe and LeBron are, they still never quite reached the levels of global fame and celebrity as MJ.

That's because everyone was at home watching nba games together has a family on the big old t.v vs now where there is so many outlets of entertainment I would say it was like a 8 yr span of the last dance every other day aka soap opera

It many ways it was actually easier back then. Everyone watched the same shows, read the same newspapers, saw the same games etc... There were fewer people who could rise to the top but the peaks were just as high, if not higher. Modern athletes/celebrities are in a much more competitive landscape for attention and celebrity. The amount of content exploded and people are more fractured in interests. And being less "availble" and known ala social media allows people to project their ideals and fantasies on the 'blank slate' that is Jordan, which is part of why his legend grew so high.

OMG, skip Bayless was right. Phil played Michael. If Phil actually left without telling Mike that he was offered a 1 year deal but turned it down then Mike has every right to take Phil's head off. Mike rode for Phil. He thought that they axed Phil when Phil axed himself. Michael still wanted to play if he knew that. This honestly makes me furious and I feel like no one is even still talking about it

For the record, there are plenty of spots open after 10:30p in Salt Lake City -- Squatters, Red Rock and Rio Grande are all within 3 blocks of that Marriot Hotel. He must've ordered pizza because he wanted delivery.

Game 7 would have been in Utah. Both teams won 62 games that season, but Utah had home-court advantage.
Back then the Finals format was 2-3-2.

Sorry, you're correct. I don't know why I thought it'd go back to Chicago for game 7. Huge brain-fart on my part.

Nice to see Pippen give Krause credit at the end. I wonder if Krause drafted better during some of the 90s drafts and reloaded the roster and named a guy like Bill Cartwright as the new HC. Would Jordan have stayed?
