Re: ESPN's 'The Last Dance' -- ongoing discussion
That was wonderful!
It brought me back to the best time I have ever experienced in Basketball.
The Orlando Magic had some great moments for me as a fan and I'll never forget when The Magic beat Jordan in 95 which is 25 years ago tomorrow. Sure, he was not 100 percent after he came back but it was a magical time to be a fan. Of course, he came back along with The Bulls and beat them in 96.
Michael Jordan was the greatest player I ever saw play Basketball in maybe the greatest era I will ever see in Basketball until the die I die.
It feels great to go back to that time.
Of course after Shaquille O'Neal bolted The Magic for The L.A. Lakers in 1996, that is when I really started to play GM, had salary books, kept track of which teams owned which picks from other teams (The Magic's transactions afterwards really helped inspire me to do detective work before the internet blew up) and then 4 years later, i heard about this site called RealGM launching.
Now, 20 years later, here we are.

Dennis Rodman in a 48 hour span:
1. Skipped practice and didn’t tell anyone
2. Go to Auburn Hills and use a steel chair to destroy Diamond Dallas Page
3. Hit 2 clutch FTs in Game 4
4. Go to his Chicago home with Carmen Electra

No matter how much larger his opponent he knew how to get under their skin and get in their head. Dennis used his elbows, forearms, and shoulders well to make contact with his opponents sides. Slash their arms, control them with his elbows in their ribs, and he used shoulder movements to roll off them. A true pleasure to watch.Ballerhogger wrote:Dennis is GOAT dog on the court he bullied Karl so much . Amazing.

It's safe to assume the majority feel the same if it was longer. On the other hand, I don't mind the desire to want more, and not be able to get what I want.TOStateofMind wrote:Thoroughly enjoyed it. Wouldnt have minded if it were even longer.
I won't mind watching it again in the future.

Krause has been vindicated! Phil Jackson is responsible for the end of the Bulls. And cheapass Reinsdorf of course.

Nice doc.
Doesn't last dance usually mean someone you really want to dance with tho?

MJ is the GOAT. That's it, and that's all.

Re: ESPN's 'The Last Dance' -- ongoing discussion
Danny Ainge made a comment on Zach Lowe's podcast recently about how Scottie was really lucky to get to play with MJ because Mike embraced the big moments that Scottie couldn't quite navigate. They were the greatest duo ever and complimented each other so well, but Jordan's clutchness and coolness in the big moments is a big part of what makes him GOAT.

GOAT status confirmed. So glad this generation was able to be educated about MJ

Re: ESPN's 'The Last Dance' -- ongoing discussion
It’s clear that Jordan is the GOAT. The only reason ESPN tries to make it a controversy is to give themselves something to debate about and help their sagging ratings.

Re: ESPN's 'The Last Dance' -- ongoing discussion
What seems to be the problem? They polled 600 people for a topic that people seem to bring up 24/7 around this doc and social media sites like this one.
It's only a 600 person sample size but just emphasizes that the majority of people find MJ to be greater. It's all an opinion anyway regardless of which side you take. This is a lot better than the insecure LeBron fans that have tore this thread apart while most of us are just trying to discuss the documentary itself.

Just finished the final episode. I actually really liked learning about Kerr and his family as well as the security guards story.
