I did too.
I knew about the security guard but not to the extent that was revealed.
Gus Lett was a true gift to Jordan and Jordan probably provided him with some of his happiness days. RIP Gus!

I wont lie, wish a better director did the documentary. Thought it got kind of clunky here and there and could've been a lot better with the material it was working with. I wont judge it too harshly on it being so pro MJ, I get that was the only way to get MJ to accept being on it.

It was entertaining and its great to go back and see these things in a 10 hour thing. Just as a critique from a nerdy film geek, wish a more talented film maker was behind it. I think it could've been taken to another level. But again just a film geek critique. Give me anything MJ and ill watch.

Since it was food poisoning in 1997 we can finally refer Game 4 of the NBA Finals 2011 as the "flu game".

flu is not strong enough so it becomes the food poisoning game which might include real poison

And the (now former) front office used that Rose injury excuse for 'almost' a decade.

They got lucky with Rose to begin with but yes, those were fun time, even if short lived.

Love you JK! Rest in Peace Dawg.

Did you stop watching before Reinsdorf mentioned that he wasn't going to bring back Pippen and Rodman?

who noticed when they couldn't find anything that Jordan did to win game 7 so they went back to over 7 minutes to go and claimed that the jumpball he won was the most important part of the game

if anyone else won that jumpball they would go back to something that happened in the 3rd quarter, like MJ hitting some free throws

I'm surprised they didn't mention Jordan shutting down Reggie Miller in the 4th, keeping him scoreless for the quarter.

I expected a lot more videos from the locker room. This documentary was announced by underlining that cameras followed MJ everywhere that year, so I was hoping to see materials from the practices, players chatting, MJ's time at home... This was good, but it felt more like a reminder of everything we already knew about that year, MJ and the Bulls.

Also, I feel bad for Toni Kukoč, who's being disrespected by not getting more praise. Just finished the 10th episode and there's the information that MJ retired, Phil took a break, Scottie got traded, Rodman got released and Kerr got traded, but nothing about Toni. What the actual ****? I wanted more Toni stories and moves on the screen.

With all that being said, MJ is the goat and I hope that everyone finally acknowledges that for a fact now.

they don't have any good footage that shows Jordan shutting down miller, Smits was having his way with Longley and they pulled ahead of the bulls, so it wasn't apparent that miller was taken out of the game until very late

its funny because the story is that the MJ jumpball win was the most important play, they specifically didn't mention that MJ put up a brick and it was tipped out to pippen then found kerr

so why isn't the Longley tip or pippen recovering the ball credited with the most important play of the game? the only answer that makes sense is that these guys are going out of their way to give Jordan more credit, they are doing gymnastics for Jordan

I even think that pizza story is fake, how do these delivery guys know it was a pizza for Jordan?

"hmm extra pepperoni and cheese?, wait a second that sounds like a Michael Jordan pizza"

Typically 28 pts 8 assists and 9 rebounds in a game 7 speaks for itself :noway:

shooting 9 from 25 and missing 5 free throws, the pacers would have been excited if you told them pre game about it

kukoc scored 21 on 11 shots so it should have been mentioned that the guy Krause found halfway around the world that Jordan didnt want ended up saving the Jordan finally proving that the organisation wins titles

Lol he didn't find Kukoc in a forest or a desert. Toni played for Yugoslavia and, later, Croatia and Yugoslavian team that won three Euroleague titles in a row, so he wasn't really a hidden gem. The Balkans gave a lot of excellent players that left their mark in the NBA and Toni is still the best among them.

Reggie Miller talked about that jump ball.
Not Bulls players.

Great show overall but one point has deeply disturbed me: how much Kukoc's importance on the second three peat has been almost totally undervalued.
Hell, watching This show, you would believe Steve Kerr or Scott Burrell were more important than Toni Kukoc in that team.
Take that crucial game 7 against Indiana, not even one word for Toni's great and absolutely crucial contribution to that win.
Really disgusted for this guy who deserved way better than that.

Édit: i see i'm not the only one to have been completely bemused by Kukoc's treatment during this show.
