That triangle choke from Fedor at 2:50 is superb. He was looking for it from the get go.

Assuming Zion doesn't have any training.
McGregor easily.
Assuming he doesn't get knocked out by a lucky punch. He'd either knock out Zion (he walks around at a weight where his punches would KO anybody, he's not like Mighty Mouse) or submit him on the ground if Zion tackled him. McGregor's a brown belt.

Easy McGregor KO and it’s disrespectful to pro fighting to suggest otherwise. Quick double leg take down ground and pound for the W.

He couldn't even KO an old man at the bar

We're not talking about a very big and tall guy of your neighborhood. Of course McGregor could crush your 6'11 300lbs cousin who eats Doritos like's no tomorrow.
We're talking about one of the most physical specimens in the history of basketball, a professional athlete with crazy athletic abilities.
What the hell you talking about angles man? I've trained with people so much bigger than me and you have no chance. The reach, the weight, the strength... It's really really hard to fight against a much bigger opponent.
Of course a heavyweight could fight a superheavyweight, because that strength is enough to fight against any other human. I mean, you realize that any boxer of the heavyweight's top-50 could destroy Mayweather, right?
Because if you don't, please keep talking about basketball and forget about martial arts and fight sports.
So what determines a street fight now? Vertical leap? Dunk?
Weight divisions matter in sanctioned fights because there has to be a measurable balance in a competitive fight—like rules and structure because it’s a sport or competition, not a fight of actual survival.
You’re talking about someone in Zion that to any of our knowledge, has ZERO experience as a trained fighter. Is his size and weight an advantage? Yes it is. Does CM’s technique and skill give him a sizable advantage as well? Yes it does.
How many examples exist out there of guys in sanctioned fights that are severely outmatched physically and win by knockout or submission? A lot. You’re completely discrediting the fact that CM is still strong in his own right and has years and years of experience.
McGregor is not strong man, that's what you can't understand.
If you say who wins, Zion or Overeem, Zion doesn't have a single chance. No way, he would be out in 10 seconds.
I don't think you understand how important the size and weight are in a fight. Specially when the difference is between a regular guy size and a monster.
I mean a heavyweight can knockout another like Fedor won against Hong Man Choi, but that's because Fedor was +100kg and strong enough.
You're talking about a 70kg dude. Seriously, don't debate this, it just makes you look like you have no clue about what you talking.
Doesn't matter because you're talking about an elite professional vs a complete novice. Might as well say McGregor would be a better point guard because he's got an advantage in size for the role despite probably never dribbling a basketball in his life.

Re: Back Alley brawl: Zion vs McGregor who wins?
I say Connor McGregor wins this 7 out of 10 times. We're talking about a no holds barred, skilled-dirty fighting McGregor. We know nothing about Zion's scrap game. Can he take a punch at all? Who knows?
I wouldn't be surprised to see Connor go directly for the body's weak point like the throat, eyes, and groin, where size doesn't matter. All Connor needs a clean connection or 2. I remember when a 170 pound barber ko'd 300 pound Suge Knight.
Connor for the KO, and I'm not a fan of his at all.

As a muay thai fighter, I can say McGregor chances are very very very low. The weight's divisions exists for a reason. Zion could absorb two strikes of McGregor, go straight to him (he's probably faster running) and demolish the man.
Zion is not even in the same realm of size next to the mountain, that said if they went a few more rounds, I'm quite sure McGregor would of tired him out.

In the real world, nobody in their right mind would want to get into an altercation that leads to a back alley fight against CM, no matter how much alcohol you've had.
CM has had decades of experience, training, in bar fights. The guy goes into bars looking for trouble. Just look at his rap sheet. I am certain he knows exactly what Zion will try to pull as soon as they step into that back alley.

I'm curious, where is the cutoff of who Zion can beat with sheer size? Because at the end of the day Mike Tyson in his prime was only 5'10" 215-220lbs, he's giving up half a foot and 60lbs to Zion.
Is it the weight and the assumption that someone bigger can just rush someone smaller, and shrug off a couple of punches, kicks or knees before grabbing them? It's not like Zion has trained in takedowns.........
As for the Mountain vs Connor video, that's not really a gauge of anything since Connor isn't trying to punch Hafthor in the face.

Only way I’d even consider Zion is if he was enraged. If Conor slaps his mom, then it would get really interesting. But just some fight? Conors gonna knock him out.
Swinging for the fences.

I cannot believe this is actually still being talked about. Skill only goes so far. Zion would smash Conor into pieces.

Re: Back Alley brawl: Zion vs McGregor who wins?
The people who are saying Zion would win, are the same guys who watch UFC and think they'd be able to last a round in the octagon. I don't think people realize how incredibly skilled and fast these guys are. It's not just throwing punches, but also avoiding them. Zions punch would be so slow and predictable, that someone as fast as Connor would be able to counter easily. I fricken HATE Connor as well.

Zion maybe isn't a fighter though.

One guy has a big butt, can back you down and dunk on you. The other is a professional fighter. Hmm, Ill take the one with the big butt.

Zion would destroy him. 155 can't can't fight 285. Especially with a 9" height and reach advantage.

What exactly are we supposed to learn from them playing - and why would it be worth more than actual fight videos of trained fighters beating big guys?
Also, can people stop comparing Zion to the Mountain lol. Zion is nowhere near that big. Zion is a great run and jump athlete, but he isn't half as strong or nearly as heavy. The Mountain would beat up Zion Williamson easily and most NBA players, because they don't know how to fight and they are weak compared to him.
