Make it every year and win half the time for 2 main reasons:

1. It would make the finals exciting because you don’t know which way it will go.

2. More basketball, more success.

Either way you’re the greatest dynasty of all time and not close.

Making it to the Finals is a huge accomplishment for sure.
It's not the same as winning a Finals by any means, especially with some of the Conference disparity the league has seen, but winning your Conference is an accomplishment nonetheless.

I think I'd rather make it half the time and win 100%. The later you go in the playoffs the more brutal it is to lose. I've never experienced a loss in the FInals but I would assume that's much worse than losing in the Conference Finals, Semifinals or 1st round (I'm a master of watching my team lose in that.) So if I could just avoid having to watch my team lose in the Finals, I'd just rather do that.

Win every time = flawless, clutch, winner, greatness.

Going to the finals but only winning Half means:
1. Your playing in a weak conference.
2. You have a good/great team but are considered a choker.
3. Have to live with what ifs for the rest of your days.

That's the same amount of rings but when you make the finals every year that means that you never lose a series to a team in your conference. I'll take hard losses and choke narratives any day when my career is 50% championships 50% finals. The other option is still 50% championships but with 50% worse performances (could be anything from conference final to missing the play-offs).

People are so afraid to lose they become afraid to win.

After a lifetime of watching my favorite teams always finish the runner-up (they are a combined 2-13 across all sports) I will gladly take the 100% win percentage once they get to the big game/series.

I would rather be LeBron James, that way I'm a better player and also a good person.

Have you ever lost in the Finals?
Do you see how crushing it is?

Depends if the franchise is undefeated for the championship previously

I prefer 6-0 over 7-5

You lose 100% of the Finals you don't make.

People are framing losing the Finals in the wrong way. Imagine if winning the Finals is a Gold medal and losing means Silver. I would rather have 5 Golds and 5 Silvers than 5 Golds.
MJ is the GOAT, but LeBron can be if he does 2 of the following:
[X] Win another FMVP
[ ] Win another MVP
[X] 40K/10K/10K career

In swimming maybe, not in basketball. You don’t won’t anything other than a gold medal in basketball
