1) He believes in draft BPA every time, and has been quoted saying so.
2) He says this draft after about 15 guys is basically equal, aka code word for no real standouts. His opinion last year on the record was that the draft was really top heavy (and the jazz traded out).
Anyhow just food for thought this adds weight to the idea we may not go PG if say, Wiseman, Toppin, or Devi are available. Also, I definitely see the knicks trying to move up this draft. Picks #15 -#17 are all with teams that may trade out for a variety of reasons.
Another note. If you watched knicksfantv. They had a Utah Jazz beat reporter that Perrin also was big on drafting character guys. Since they are drafting them to Utah that have to select guys that need to be ok with less of a night life, more gym grinders, family type guys. The demographic in Utah is different so it can be a culture shock for players who aren't prepared.
So they really dive deep into there everday lives just not there abilities on the court.
Seems like he is pretty thorough throughout the process.
