He has holes in his game like any prospect sure, but at 18 years old he has a lot of time before he's a finished product. I think playing with Rose mentoring him next season could do wonders for him, And the French connection with Sekou should help both of them as they adapt to life in the US.

I like this idea of french connection ^^ But a connexion a solid french connection already exist: Doumbouya and ... Ntilikina ^^ (Euro U18 championship three years ago). And if you wanna a french connection like me, Malédon has fallen in mock draft from the beginning of the year, and it could be the good pick :) (of course, if you can make a deal for Ntilikina, do it. Hayes or Malédon, Hayes has more talent but I think Malédon is a good choice too, especially if you want a safe choice).
Frank Ntilikina is a play-off player, but he goes to the Hornets.

Paris 2024 (Starters):
Ntilikina - Malédon - Hayes
Coulibaly - De Colo
TLC - Rupert or Risacher
Wembanyama- Yabusele
Embiid- Poirier - Lessort [without Embiid: Fall]

I'm not sure about Ball. To me, if Edwards is there, you take him. He's got a great chance to develop here.

Tier 2

Edwards
Avdija
Hampton

Tier 3(the rest)

I just like that we will have some options this year and not hoping someone drops so much. Im really starting to like Hayes and Okongwu.

Honestly as long as we avoid Avdija there then im good with a few options.

Yea for me Edwards is about the only don't pass on guy in this draft..even knowing SG isn't really a need. I like his chances better than any other prospect in this draft to blossom at the NBA level.

I agree with Motown, the only pick I'd probably be disappointed with would be Avdija. Maybe I'm way off on him, but something just tells me he'll go higher than he really should in this draft. Hoping it's not us.

Big man is also another position that would be hard for me to get behind taking. If it's best available when the time comes, so be it, but I would like to avoid spending a high lottery pick on a big again.

My PG's at this point are
1. Hayes
2. Halliburton
3. Ball

Still alot to figure out when it comes to the NBA going forward. Is the season going to restart, when is the draft lottery, and when is the draft.

I don't see the point in drafting anyone but Edwards or a point guard. The Pistons desperately need either a point guard for the future or an elite scoring wing. Center is certainly not a pressing need.

Basically, always drafty BPA. For the pistons, that's extra true. There is nobody on this team good enough for us to say "this position is set"

If we want to bank on Wood and Sekou as future pieces, no need for a PF in this draft.

My mind feels pretty set on Edwards if we move up or Hayes if we stay around where we are. Get good vibes from Hayes. Dont think hes gonna be a star or anything but hes got a pretty good BB IQ and all around game that could really grow into franchise PG material.

Haliburton makes sense to me. I think he has Andre Miller type upside as far as being a solid floor general. Plus he can shoot the three ball. He is my pick if we're outside of the top 3.

If you look at his highlights from his Freshman year it was a lot of catch and shoot and transition scoring he didn't look great but he shot a good %.

Then when looking at this season he has grown a ton you can tell he really worked on his game. Some great passes, a lot more of creating his own shot and scoring off the dribble pull up jumpers. Plus, he can still catch and shoot really well.

I think he's an ideal combo guard big enough to play SG. Would be solid right away coming off the bench behind Rose and then eventually taking over.

It's a lot harder to get hyped about the draft when there wasn't even a tournament. Obviously we wouldn't have seen wiseman and Ball, but the rest of these guys all had a lot to prove.

For sure I was thinking this might be one of the harder drafts to figure out for GMs. Lots of players rise and fall when the pressure of March Madness comes. Plus, NBA teams might not even be able to work guys out against other prospects.

I saw an interview of Wiseman and the guy looks really focused on basketball and down to earth. He was not even bragging to be picked the first at all.

You need two forwards and since I don’t see any reason why Wood couldn’t spend some minutes defending at C, I’d absolutely support the idea of taking the best player available period in this draft. The next two years should be the filling a need drafts.

At #5 BPA figures to be Okoro or Okongwu anyway so we either get a dude that could potentially defend 1-4 or a 4/5.

Okongwu, Wood, Sekou, Luke, Brown: theory here is Wood has a better perimeter game than Okongwu, Okongwu the better defender anyway so protects the rim.

Sekou is a 3/4 regardless.

Luke & Brown the immediate backcourt until 2021 Draft where we pick up the PG/SG who likely relegates Brown to 6th Man.

Or

Wood, Sekou Okoro: think we'd go into the 2021 Draft looking for BPA regardless with so many options:

2021
Wood
Sekou
Okoro
Brown

Wood
2021
Sekou
Okoro
Brown

Wood
Sekou
2021
Okoro
Brown

Wood
Sekou
Okoro
2021
Brown

Wood
Sekou
Okoro
Brown/Luke
2021

2020 & 2021 Drafts are vital regardless of what Wood, Sekou, Luke & Brown might become. We need to nail these picks.

Those 6 + Svi, Hall & Bone might give us some hope...finally

My top 5 would be the following in this order:

Ball
Edwards
Hayes
Haliburton
Wiseman

I really want a franchise point guard.

As a rookie he's gonna battle Brown, Luke, Rose, maybe Svi for minutes in the backcourt.

Plus we likely upgrade Bone to a full NBA contract.

You think Casey will give the keys to a rookie PG?

For me, I don’t see anyone else outside of Edwards having the potential for being a star. There really is no room for Edwards at the moment. I just feel Ball has the highest ceiling of anyone in the draft.

Hey guys, I just added a new feature to my site that let's you compare two prospects side by side here: https://nbadraftcomp.herokuapp.com/compare

Probably one of the cooler tools I've added.

I also added age as a method for comparing players for per40 and advanced stats which a lot of you requested! You can also choose to add manual measurements on the site as well as pick and choose which measurements you would like to compare physical measurements for players. Also similarity scores for comparisons are on the site as well!

If you don't mind checking it out that'd be amazing!!!!
