I don’t see much reliable mocks have him going there. Plus DX still has him at #10 and they are pretty much spot on every year. So I think he’s going in that range. Maybe it changes after the lottery

True, they will all change anyway after the lottery and as the draft gets closer. not sure how accurate but draftnet, bleacher report, tankathon, cbssports has him top 6. A lot of players can flip around from 5 to 14...if we like a guy at 6 or 7, dont know if we can wait around to 10 for him...or might not even be an option. Can be hard to trade down a few spots sometimes

Nbadraftnet is the worst, bleacher report has multiple writers doing different mocks every day so I don’t really trust them, tankathon sucks except for their sim lottery, CBS is ok though. I just stick to DX. But yeah we’ll see what happens after the lottery.. whenever it happens

I have no doubt in my mind that RJ would definitely be the number one pick in this draft.

Would I be wrong in also guess Mitch would be #1 in this year's draft? Or is that too big a stretch?

I think you are whong.

Mitch couldnt take the starter position in one of the worst teams of the league. And he had trouble to stay in court due to excess of fouls.

never said he was a source. Just was giving context of an opinion from a knicks fan that I respect.

And I don't think we will trade down for Hayes at all...we will be lucky if he's there at 7 or 8 IMO.

So if he’s just a Knicks fan like the rest of us.. why does it matter

Hayes will def be there at 7 or 8. Will the Knicks take him there? Doubtful but we’ll see.

because like I said above I consider him a knowledgeable knicks fan and respect his opinion.

If we drafted Haliburton, then somehow got Cade next draft...Mitch/RJ/Hali/Cade....would love that core.

But i mean, if we got Cade can pretty much fill in the blanks and have a nice core

Yea, a lot of the mocks are meaningless and no way to know what teams are thinking. I could see Killian Hayes go top 5 or 6 though. A lot of people have him pretty high....even the Ringer has him #1 on their board. Def worth the #6 pick imo. Kid was just getting better and better. Might be lucky if we can get him

This is the Ringer's Kevin O'Conner's mock from 2017

6. DSJ
8. Malik Monk (comparison:Ray Allen / Lou Williams / Zach Lavine)
9. Frank Ntilikina
12. Donovan Mitchell
18. John Collins
36. Bam Adebayo

Then in 2018 I remember the dude being super high on Mo Bamba and thought he was going to be one of the best bigs in the draft and one of the best of his class. Had him higher on his board than Trae Young. I think he had Trae somewhere down around the 10 range and going to Philly. He also didn't like SGA very much at all.

He did have Tatum ranked as his #2 prospect so he gave your boy some love

And that was his mock, not his big board which he did pretty well on his mock in terms of where guys landed. He totally missed the mark on Bam though. Which a lot of people did, but you didn't melo.

Yea, I like Hayes but would take LaMelo #1. Some of the ringers rankings/comparisons are outside the box. Tyrell Terry #8 overall is pretty crazy..Some of it I agree, some of it I don't. The format is pretty good though on the page.

I think overall they go very analytic on there approach with young prospects. Its why Hayes is #1 because from and all around stand point Hayes checks most of the boxes per the main areas per Synergy (more so then any other guard, even LaMelo). Now thats not saying Hayes will be better than LaMelo but I think there approach is mostly analytical,

Also same goes for Terrry. They see the analytics and they probably rate him higher. But he has defensive concerns and playmaking concerns to stick at the point yet he's too small to play off ball.

I always thinks there is a balance between the analytical approach and the visual/natural measurement approach for scouting.

Almost every mock does well in terms of where guys land. There is usually a couple guys who rise or fall but for the most part the draft range is accurate across most mocks. That's not really the point though.

his played comps are pretty lazy I will agree there. Seems more about physical attributes then actually how they play.

Any big board realistically is going to have hits and misses...its just natural. If he was nailing every NBA pick...lets just say he would be working for an NBA franchise by now
