Does he rag doll Khabib? 155 pound champ but walks around at 190
Does he rag doll Usman? 170 pound champ but walks around at 190+
Israel? the 185 pound champ but walks around 200+ pounds
Jon Jones? 205 champ but walks around in the 220+ range
Or Stipe the HW champ, 230-245 range

Im just really curious to those saying Zion is too big and would rag doll him, what one of those guys do you think Zion loses that ability?

I would say Jones

You do realize the drastic weight cuts these guys do right? Many starve and dehydrate themselves to dangerous levels to make weight. Many push it too far and end up in the hospital. One of the times Tony vs Khabib got cancelled was because Khabib had to be taken to the hospital because of too extreme of a weight cut. Here is Conor cutting weight to 145 vs him making weight at 170. He is dangerously dehydrated at 145.

Of course, this is common knowledge... Obviously McGregor doesn't walk around a **** skeleton in his day-to-day life... This is just loss of water to make a cut.

Anyway, i was just making a joke... At least acknowledge that it was funny. I mean, i laugh at it a bit myself :D

I tip my hat to your joke.

This is a bit off topic, but Lebron has the absolute dream athletic build for a heavyweight boxer.

Theres no way of knowing if he would have the mentality/toughness to be a pro fighter (before someone comments about him flopping, that **** is purely acting to get calls), but based on pure physical attributes he is about as talented of a human as you could imagine for boxing.

I disagree with the answer, but appreciate someone actually giving an answer to this question. Khabib has been wrestling with the likes of DC, Luke Rockhold and Cain for years now. I think he takes down Zion pretty easily.

Then when it comes to Israel, size and length Zion only has like an inch and a half on him probably. I don't think Zion could get close to Israel. His hands and kicks are just way too good.

If you say who wins, Zion or Overeem, Zion doesn't have a single chance. No way, he would be out in 10 seconds.

I don't think you understand how important the size and weight are in a fight. Specially when the difference is between a regular guy size and a monster.

I mean a heavyweight can knockout another like Fedor won against Hong Man Choi, but that's because Fedor was +100kg and strong enough.

You're talking about a 70kg dude. Seriously, don't debate this, it just makes you look like you have no clue about what you talking.

It’s a topic that we could debate forever until or unless such a situation actually occurred.

I understand you have experience as a Muy Tai fighter—I have experience as a wrestler. I know exactly what I’m talking about. I’ve seen and been involved in practices and training sessions where experience and technique won over shear size and strength many times. Sure it went the other way too, but you’re trying to argue that it’s impossible to overcome a size advantage. Especially in your discipline, I’m surprised that your stance is basically that the bigger guy always wins. There are so many ways to get around that—leg sweeps, attacks to the knees and torso, submissions—it isn’t a sanctioned boxing match we are talking about.

And I’m sorry man, but your arrogance in your posts is incredible. The only point you’re making that is accurate is that Zion is a giant—as in, he’s tall. You then jump to compare how CM would get destroyed by other elite professional fighters that are way out of his weight class—well yeah, of course—Zion is not an elite fighter. Zion has zero training as a fighter. He jumps high and is really tall. You also say “legendary strength” wtf are you talking about? Compared to what or whom? I’d suggest getting off your high horse because you recreationally go to a kickboxing gym.

You're now making the same fail as a lot of posters here. Yeah man, I've dominated guys who are much taller and weights more than me, because I had the superior technique.

Yeah you beat some big amateur wrestlers. Are you comparing them to Zion? For Goku's sake, there is someone in this topic who has seen Zion play? Because he absorb A LOT of contact of giants and he's like a wrecking ball in the sports with the biggest guys on earth.

He's a monster so he can only be beaten by monsters. Of course at certain weight he would be knocked out very easily, but that's only by guys of a respectable size.

Seriously, McGregor isn't strong and he is a small fighter. I mean he's strong af in his weight and he could beat all of us in seconds. Technique is very very important, but if you double on strength the other guy, it doesn't matter at all.

And don't forget strength is mass x acceleration. When you see guys like Hong Man Choi, they could have less strengh in a strike than Fedor or Crocop. I mean the have more pure strenght, but that doesn't translate to the strikes, because they moves real slow.

Zion is a very coordinate guy with a crazy speed and explosiveness for his size. Even if he makes a gorilla punch, the weight and acceleration of that punch is something McGregor's body can't take.

I think your point about Zion's physical gifts are very legitimate, and if he took some rudimentary self-defense/combat sessions and did a little training, he could potentially do well in a fight against a smaller trained fighters. But to throw him in a back alley and take on Conor McGregor in a street fight is something else IMO. I think for a normal human being, an alley fight is going to be a intimidating scary thing, different from say sparring in a gym where you don't want to get beat up but you know it's just for sport. My prediction assumes that Zion is not going to instantly know what to do, and will likely do something (or multiple things) tactically unwise and Conor is just going to pounce on it. A normal human being doesn't have the first inkling of what to do in a fight against Conor McGregor, even with a significant strength advantage and will inevitably make mistakes.

Khabib is a much better wrestler than Conor and has a lot more upper body, core and leg strength. As such, he's more suited in handling a 6'6'', 290 pound athletic freak on the ground or just in general when he tries to grab him and move him around.

Conor is a specialist striker. His style is about movement and punching with quickness and precision (which is tied to how well he's able to move around, since that's how he finds angles and generates power)...

If an adrenaline pumped Zion closes onto McGregor in a crowded space, Conor can NOT as easily utilize his biggest strengths as a fighter... He would have to hope to find a split decision critical KO or resort to his wrestling and ground skills... which could still be enough for him to win the fight, mind you (anything can happen in a sloppy fight), but the odds are significantly lowered.

Maybe they both fall to the ground just right enough for Conor to slip around Zion (who i'd imagine isn't as nimble on the ground with his weight) to the point where he can get him in a choke-hold or and armbar or snap Zion's leg or something...

Like i said, this fight can have so many variables. If i had a gun to my head, i would pick Conor, because i trust his skill/experience allow him to have more win conditions and be quicker in recognizing and assessing the situation and making the right move... I just think people who believe Zion doesn't have the capacity to seriously hurt Conor are delusional... Zion has enough of a size/weight/athletic advantage to where he can effectively grab Conor (especially if he initiates the attack and Conor finds himself in a crowded area) and slam him on the concrete (which i don't care who you are, if you're getting slammed on the **** concrete by a 6'6'', 290 pound man, you can get your head split open like a coconut)... and if McGregor gets seriously hurt by that action, Zion can finish him off... You really don't need to be a **** black belt guru genius to know how to finish off an injured person... especially when you're much larger than him... Someone said fighting on instincs/adrenaline is bad... maybe so, in an controlled environment, (when your opponent is ready for you and not injured because you can't slam him on concrete), but that doesn't mean it can't be deadly. Animals (yes, humans too) have been killing each other with bare hands off instinct forever...

Guys you can believe or not, I mean I wouldn't trust someone who's writing this in a forum, but I've been in a lot of street fights. I had a broke nose, a cut in the eyebrow, a tooth in a half...

I've been with pro athletes with international recognition and titles, and they have said something about a security guard who was like a gorilla; you DON'T want to fight a guy like that. No matter how good you're at fighting, if you don't have a respectable size atleast to fight back a monster like that, you're gonna be in trouble.

That's because I asked them if they would fight that guy, expecting they would say it would be an easy knockout.

Seriously, a gorilla or a bear don't know how to fight and no human on this planet could fight one.

The difference between McGregor and Zion is MASSIVE. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying, at any moment, the bigger guy always win. We're talking about guys with elite athleticism, very coordinate with a lot of explosiveness in their moves.

If you’re far faster, far stronger, far bigger, and have a much longer reach, you can take the other person down.... Canelo probably walks around at 185. Zion at 300.

Are they on a football field or something? Most people who haven't wrestled don't know how to go for take downs, and since you mentioned football players there's plenty of videos of them getting beat up online too

Most people don't have an instinct to go for takedowns in fights, even NFL guys are all over youtube throwing wild haymakers rather than tackling people, because most people resort to throwing wide looping punches.

Oscar is quoted as saying Canelo walked around at 190, that was before he made the move to light heavyweight too. Zion isn't 300lbs, his playing weight and his walk around weight are one in the same. Canelo would put Zion to sleep or break his ribs when he tries to grab him. I'll ask again, what is the cutoff? Prime Mike Tyson was 5'10" 215-220lbs, Canelo walks around at 5'9" 200lbs, do you think Zion would beat prime Mike Tyson, if the answer is no then why then do you think he would beat Canelo?

Zion was 285 when he was cutting weight, pre-injury. He’s big.

Mike Tyson walked around at 250. He competed at 220. mike Tyson would destroy Canelo. I don’t even remotely see the point of the ‘if mike Tyson could beat him, so could Canelo’.

Tyson was power incarnate. One punch king. I said ‘if you can take zion out/drop him with 1-3 punches, you’ll win’. Then you bring up mike Tyson?

That wasn’t a real fight. Football athletes don’t fight seriously with random people on the street

There's no need to make things up, Mike Tyson didn't walk around at 250 during his prime, he would be 225 at most. Heavyweights usually walk around at their fighting weight or within 10lbs of it, because there's no advantage to ballooning up in weight and having to take it off in 3 months. The reason why fighters have such drastic weigh loss is to compete at lower weight classes, heavyweights don't have to do that.

Because Canelo is a trained fighter with world class power, as seen by moving up from Junior welterweight to light heavyweight and still knocking people out. Just being bigger than someone doesn't mean you can take a punch, Canelo may not be Mike Tyson to other fighters, but to someone that has never fought professionally he may as well have the death touch.

It wasn't a real fight? Come on man, he was very obviously fighting for real, and there's plenty more of football players losing on the net, somebody already posted Roger Huerta at 170lbs knocking some 240lbs football player, here it is again -

Someone brought up Roy Jones Jr earlier. I'm a huge fan of his, so I just wanted to point out that he is arguably the most athletic person to ever compete in a combat sport and won a heavyweight title in boxing. Hes just as much of an athletic freak as someone like Zion and hes also bigger than Conor.

I'm mostly just posting out of appreciation for Roy, because he might honestly be the best fighter ever at his peak, but doesn't get that kind of recognition because the division he fought in for most of his prime wasn't that great.

Gorilla's can weigh 500lbs, Bears can weigh 1100lbs and both bite.

Using animals makes no sense, because Pitbulls at 60-80lbs can kill people 3-4x their size, and almost no fighter or person on earth would want to be in the ring/cage with an enraged male Chimp, and they only get to be about 180lbs.

You say 10lbs from fighting weight... and Tyson fought at around 225 against guys in the 240+ bracket. Canelo fights at 165. If you’re trying to equate them, this argument is beyond ridiculous.
