Markelle Fultz with a broken shoulder and mental block has a better shot than Ball.

This is the Ringer's Kevin O'Conner's mock from 2017

https://nbadraft.theringer.com/2017/

6. DSJ
8. Malik Monk (comparison:Ray Allen / Lou Williams / Zach Lavine)
9. Frank Ntilikina
12. Donovan Mitchell
18. John Collins
36. Bam Adebayo

Then in 2018 I remember the dude being super high on Mo Bamba and thought he was going to be one of the best bigs in the draft and one of the best of his class. Had him higher on his board than Trae Young. I think he had Trae somewhere down around the 10 range and going to Philly. He also didn't like SGA very much at all.

"Experts" though

I wouldn’t be writing off Bamba just yet... it’s not even 2 full seasons and he’s playing behind an all star on a playoff team.

Dude only plays 15mpg but puts up 5.5 & 5 with 1.5 blocks n shoots 36% from 3. I wish we could trade for him n start him next to Mitch as a stretch 4.

He's slow footed and he's soft inside. Not only do I not value him as a 4 but I don't value him as a starter either.

I couldn’t disagree more. He could absolutely guard 4’s on the perimeter... shyt I’ve seen him pick up n stay in front of small guards at times.

Not sure how you couldn’t value such a young player with his potential as a starter on a rebuilding team.

Like I said he's slow footed, soft and overall just not very good. He hasn't done anything in the NBA to change how I felt about him before the draft.

I like CJ Elleby as a later pick option. He looks pretty versatile and can shoot. Not a big time athlete but looks solid enough as a wing player. Kind of has an all around game. Is he much of an upgrade from Iggy Braezdekis, that I don't know but he does seem more peskier defensively than him.

Severely overrate much?

He’s a five. He cannot guard fours.

Yea, a lot of the mocks are meaningless and no way to know what teams are thinking. I could see Killian Hayes go top 5 or 6 though. A lot of people have him pretty high....even the Ringer has him #1 on their board. Def worth the #6 pick imo. Kid was just getting better and better. Might be lucky if we can get him

The Ringer also has him and Haliburton above Lamelo... meh

I like Hayes but I wouldn’t take him that high. He seems like a project pick. I think he is getting overrated.

Yea, I like Hayes but would take LaMelo #1. Some of the ringers rankings/comparisons are outside the box. Tyrell Terry #8 overall is pretty crazy..Some of it I agree, some of it I don't. The format is pretty good though on the page.

They’re basically saying if Tyrell Terry adds 15-20 lbs and tightens up his handle over the next few years this dude is going to make some team EXTREMELY happy and I agree :)

I’ve been watching full games of his. He’s pretty scrappy on defense, but needs work. I mean, every team gives up 110-120 points anyway.

Lol severely overrate? Sounds like you guys haven’t watched him all that much honestly... say he has slow feet, but what about his length? Even if you do beat him (since when are stretch 4’s all that quick off the dribble?) you have to worry about his ability to block your shot with his wingspan and ability to recover. Again, he does this even with attacking guards... he can guard 4’s.

Playing him next to Mitch for 20 mins per game and having him play the 5 for another 10 minutes would be fine here. It’s all hypothetical, but the point remains, Mo can guard 4’s.

I mean Jesus... I’ve even been sayin this since watching him in college, saying he could guard 4’s playing next to KP at the 5....

And btw, Cliff is a shyt coach.

jaja. Plus now we're gonna get our coach named and no-one here knows who that'll be.

One of my favorites in the draft. Honestly not sure why he isn’t getting more love. His offensive improvement from junior year to senior year was eye opening.

Would sprint to the podium to select him at 38 if he’s still there.

I'm not sure why we never mention okoro, tons of mock drafts have him top 10, knicks could throw us all a curve
