Great stuff man.
Would be nice if we can somehow end up with him.

Screen heavy offense for Melo. Any particular coach you think would be a good choice there? Miller able to make this adjustment? Kenny? Thibs? I mean, I know not enough 3's, but I recall the Bulls had good ball movement.

Draft LaMelo (with lottery gods luck) and sign FA's Betrans & Harris?

LaMelo
Harris
RJ
Bertans
Mitch
(I realize Mitch not currently a threat to pop nor does he always enforce his picks)

Kenny is the ideal coach as they are a flare happy offense.

The rest, I like, but need more defensively.

Thanks. I can see your point defensively; obviously cost to place in the rotation matters, but at the right prices, those two guys could be rotation players but not starters, or not both.

Quote myself - I see Jerami Grant mentioned instead of Bertrans and yeah, that would make a LOT of sense.

Actually a bit late but Kenny really, really relied on screens. Though Ironically enough both he and Thib’s like Bigs who could pass for their Systems and I don’t think Mitch is a big screener or a big passer. Allen on the Nyets would be a preferable big for both.

Gibson still works at a back up for either coach

That’s why I was kinda leaning towards going after wood at the 4, he and mitch would be insane shot blocking and he also shot 38.6% from 3 last year so if he maintains that you’d have a solid team there. Still would want that other player to be an elite shooter at the SG/SF like Harris

Bertans could also work but maybe a more 3 and D guy at SG, if Frank could just improve to start hitting at a respectable clip he’d be perfect for it

Jerami Grant over both. Perfect fit next to money Mitch.

Don't get me wrong, Bertans is an elite shooter but he's not the guy you want to pay a lot of money too. If you can get him for less than 10 mill a year it's worth while but you pay more than that it's not really worth it. I'd rather a 3&D guy like Grant at the four. Bertans is definitely one of those guys you can pick on in PNR in close games.

I gotta say now that Perrin is in house, I'm way less confident in my it's either LaMelo or Cole Anthony draft prediction. Basically meaning that I bet we won't reach for Cole. I'm legit impressed with resume of draft picks while he was with the Jazz and wouldn't let outside market forces.

I would never have expected Rose to actually hire professionals but this team has fooled me so many times I'm not sure what to think.

If LaMelo is the target of the Knicks in the draft, what would they give up to move to #1, if they don't win the lottery right away?

Here is a nice preview of Paul Reed. He is Siakim’esque in that he can defend 1-5 as a PF, but he is raw offensively and a bit older as a rookie.

Yeah Paul Reed gave me Spicy P vibes as well. Definitely wouldn’t mind if we got him with our late first or our second rounder.

Depends on what number we fall to and who wins the #1 pick.

We would have to root for the Warriors (ugghhh) to get the top pick and pray that they don’t like Wiseman and are more high on guys that would fall at our spot like let’s say Deni, Obi or Okongwu.

Aside from our pick this year obviously it is going to definitely take one of RJ and Mitch, both of which would be great in the Warriors system (and would depend on who the Warriors chose with our pick). Warriors would also push for us to include both the Mavs picks.

That price is too expensive for me, just give me Haliburton or Hayes

Say it doesn't even have to be RJ, Mitch or any of the young guys. Multiple 1sts & 2nds? Option to swap in yrs?

We talked about this in depth a couple weeks ago. I'm high on LaMelo so anything would be on the table other than RJ who I see as untouchable
