people act like Lebron was playing terrific only for last couple weeks, which is not true
and dont forget that most missed games as MVP was Iverson with 11, and Bill Walton, Giannis missed a decent number of games
We have to agree that while Giannis is in a big lead, the timing of league suspension is making the home run for him. It cannot get any more perfect. He hurt his ankle right before the suspension, while the Lakers were on a roll. We all know March and April are the most crucial months for a MVP race and despite the awesome work Giannis put up before March, things started to looking very interesting in late Feb. If you remember how Westbrook stormed all the way back in 2017, you know there is always a possibility. LeBron got the bigger city, got the media behind him, might even have the best overall record, and on his way to scoring a lot of those "last impression" points. I think being 35 year old + assist leader that's a close enough narrative to Westbrook's triple double storyline.
I have no horse in this race, just pity that we might have been deprived of one of the most exciting MVP race comebacks in the history.
