Was at Disney world last year..

100$% they got the resources.

They got a damn monorail, a ferry, to get to the island. Epcot, Magic kingdom, Hollywood studios, Animal kingdom.

And no gambling issue or problems with fans trying to check out the players at the hotel.

Perfect fit. NBA will go ahead and make this happen.

Training Camp: June 20 - July 10...enough training camp to remove any excuses.

can't come soon enough..if the Germans and their Bundesliga are handling this without using the Bubble City formula then the Disney World site should remove all the "risks". Knuckleheads like JR Smith and Lance Stephenson will not be involved, everything will be fine.

I wonder if with the two site plan if they will only hold interconference play (starting with regular season play and continuing into the playoffs) and that one site will be for Western conference teams (Las Vegas) and the other for Eastern conference teams (Orlando) and they will keep the guys secluded. Biggest issue is that if Las Vegas is open they're not going to be able to keep these guys from going wild out there. Even with Orlando there could be problems with keeping the guys secluded.

Just play some pre season games leading into the playoffs.

Also, they need to reward higher seeded teams somehow since they won't get home court. Maybe give them a first round bye.

I agree scrap all regular season games. You have to get the fan enthusiasm up in a hurry for casual fans.

Just add an extra round to the playoffs. Top 2 seeds get a bye.
Seeds 3-10 play in a best of five series.

I’m not opposed to some of the regular season games happening. Should help everyone shake some of the rust off.

Hoping this works out.

Amazing Idea to go to Disney world they have acres upon acres with many hotels

and the 1-16 playoff seeding is a great idea. Just do 2-3 games for friendly's to warm up then straight to that bracket.

Sucks for the bubble teams but the season was 85% completed anyway.

Boo, it makes our path harder but it makes sense. If it's all in one location it eliminates the issue of travel and time issues. Plus the teams that have no chance to make the playoffs aren't forced to play 5 - 10 meaningless games.

Still not a fan of a West vs West finals.

And which games would even be played? Cherry picked in-conference matchups just so teams all finish with the same number of games played?

I suspect that only 16 teams would be invited.
The 5 regular season games would only be between those 16 teams to get a tune up.

I don't think there will be much opposition to that since the 9th place team in the East is 6 games out, and the 9th place team in the West is 3 games out.

In the east I agree but not for the west. Memphis had the hardest remaining schedule while the pelicans had the easiest schedule. Not really fair that Memphis lucks out. I think the NBA might do something to help zion get in the playoffs lol.

I can't find the article right now but I remember reading somewhere that there was incentive to play a certain number of regular season games because it was a minimum requirement for one of their TV deals/partners. I'm going to guess that number is 5.

TV contracts are for 70 games. 5 is an approximation with a team with 63 games and some with 67 games played.

Random seeding would be best. LAL vs LAC would be a great first round.

How will we host our championship parade this year? Will it be online? Will we postpone it to next year?

Jokic when he realizes he'll be guarded by Gasol and not Rondae Hollis Jefferson in the second...

Ordinarily I wouldn't support this (the records are too distorted by conference play to be fair) but it's such a weird season they may as well do something fun.

Would help to settle some east/west rivalvry questions too.

It also would be a nice change to avoid the usual Miami/Philly/Boston/Milwaukee opponents.
