If this doesn't mean he is ready for the bigs, I don't know what else he can do.

Met fan here, I must say congrats to Mr. Bucholz. I'm a fan of prospects of every MLB's farm system and that was a great performance by him.

Stuck in central New York with no way to see the game, but ESPN put the last inning on radio. We needed that, to shake us out of the doldrums. Didn't see the pitches, but it sounds like he was going between a mid-90s fastball and a high-70s curve? He's going to be hard to hit.

Hopefully this means we let Schill take a hike at the end of the year! Clay is the man.

Yanks fan here, what bucholz did is incredible and I got to give the kid his props. It's going to be exciting seeing a game of bucholz vs Chamberlain/Hughes in the future!

My dad and i went to the Boston College, Wake Forest college football game today and we went out to eat at the cask'n flag'n and when we walked out of the resturant a guy said hey you guys need any tickets for tonights game. My dad goes where are they and the guy says up far and away in the bleachers, the guy said ill give them to you for 50 a piece. We were like no thanks. I am going to regret that for the rest of my life. UNBELIEVABLE

We would have arrived at the game around the 5th inning. We watched the game at fanuel hall instead. Also 100 for a couple tickets around the last row in the bleachers wasn't worth it.

Quite the performance from the Clay. A much needed lift for the Sox as well.

Congrats to Clay. I missed the start (was busy), but I'll be sure to watch it when I have time. I thought this kid was special ever since I watched him start against Clemens during the summer. Nice live fastball and a devasting curveball and changeup. He should be very good, just needs to stay healthy.

So awesome. I was on the road scrambling around to find a bar to watch the last inning; finally found some sushi bar. The guy behind the bar, "He's throw a good game, yes?"

Yes.

I assume this is the record by a good margin for quickest time into a career for a no-no?

I love that he had just a little mini fistpump and then a little smile at the end. Dude is a G.
