I wouldn't give up on Bamba just yet, he's been in a sh*t situation in terms of his development behind a all-star (fringe all-star player).

He avg about 15 mins a game in 2 season. Barely enough to get a sweat going and rhythm. in those minutes this year he avg 5.5 pts 5 boards and 1.4 blocks per game.

That is a per 36 of 14 pts 12 boards and 3.5 blocks per game.

For example Mitchell Robinson's per 36 is 15 pts 11 boards and 3 blocks this season. Nearly identical.

Now the major issue is Mo Bamba is his effeciency scoring. He needs to be way better than a career 47% FG% for a big. That is just unacceptable. But he also shot 35.6% from 3 this year on nearly 2 attemps per game in limited minutes. That was right at the league avg for 3 point shooting this year as a 22 year old 7 footer. There is nothing wrong with that.

The magic were also 4 pts better defensive with him on the court then off of it. So while the numbers don't stand out a lot has to do with him playing such a limited role. He needs to improve but as you can see there are signs and bigs tend to take a bit longer to develop then guards.

I haven’t been diving too far into the draft stuff yet with everything going on but I really want LaMelo Ball. Anthony Edwards would be a great get too. Outside of those two idk how to rank them yet.

Some minor worries I have about LaMelo are defense (not a minor problem but he brings a lot of other big pluses) and him dominating the ball a lot when I’ve seen him play, but he seems he’s gotten better with that. I just don’t want to see someone pounding the rock 18 seconds of the shot clock when we have guys like RJ who get in the flow of things better when they actually touch the ball.

With all of those things considered Ball is elite as far as creativity and vision from everything I’ve seen. Idk who the ideal 2 would be on our roster with him because I think RJ is more of a 3 but I pray we get lucky for once and get 1 or 2 in this draft.

Any late round first rounders I should look into for our late first? I’m sure you guys have people in mind. I’d love to find a sharp shooter. Maybe even a stretch 4

So much divided opinions usually their is a guy in the draft the majority agree on lol but not this one

it's kinda weird how we don't talk about some of them more, like anthony edwards for example

At one point N.Mannion was the guy many of us were talking about.

Everybody dances around it because of the physical tools and flashes but the kid is dumb as rocks on the court. The amount of times you watch him and you can tell he just has no idea what he's doing or where to be is so troubling and won't fly in the NBA. Currently, whether we want to admit it or not, the Knicks don't have the infrastructure to nurture that specific kind of talent. ANd it shows up everywhere in the stat sheet. His FG% should be way higher than it is given his proficiency inside the arc and his TO's are way higher than they ever should be. Just consider me not a fan.

I'm honestly way more confident that Halliburton will be a way better player simply off of pure IQ.

I'd take him or Trey Jones at #27 even if we draft a PG with our lottery pick.

His shooting percentages were not good to say the least but he seems like he was improving and he has a quick release. Could end up being a fun player if he pans out

So many divided opinions usually their is a guy in the draft the majority agree on lol but not this one

As much as I like Randle, this guy fits better with RJ and Mitch. Just make Randle the 6th man or something. But man his athletcism is just.. :o :o He would have MSG going crazy. If he falls to the Knicks I would def take him.

Why not just sign Christian Wood to be Randle’s replacement and draft for a different position?

Let’s just trade Randle and get what we can for him now?

Cause Toppin has a lot more upside than Wood. And Wood has only played good for a very short period of time. Not willing to tie up cap space into an unproven player.

I haven’t watched much of him outside a game or two live and highlights, but he’s certainly entertaining. Has that Griffin/Stat type of hold your breath when he gets a full head of steam bc it’s more than likely going to be a highlight, type of excitement. I will say, I didn’t like what he did defensively (when I saw him) and idk if I ever saw him make a jumper when I watched him live. I also don’t know about his side to side quickness, but people on here I’m sure know him much more in depth than me, because like I said I haven’t seen enough to give a fair take. He is fun as hell to watch though especially if he gets some room or on the break.

Personally I want someone at the 4 who can be a legitimate shooter at least from the mid range. 3 pointer would be a plus (especially if we plan on keeping AND starting Mitch, which I think we should for both). Having someone who can space the floor a bit and open things up for a PG and lob opportunities for Mitch would be great. Plus we have been horrible at shooting since the Melo/JR/Novak/Pablo/Kidd/Copeland/etc days at least it seems lol
