Re: Fantasy Trade Thread 2019-2020 Post Season
Horford and Jason Richardson for Chris Paul trade is a brilliant idea.
I would like a tough minded coach brought in as well such as Atkinson from the Nets. I think we would be headed in the right direction for a chip.
Chris Paul is a leader and he has the versatility to allow us to get the very best out of our core players.
Paul
Thybulle
Tobias
Simmons
Embiid

Seems pretty obvious that he was undermined and forced out by the misery twins.
That said, I don't think Atkinson would fare well here with the lack of accountability and adherence to coaching of the Embiid/Simmons duo.

Harris, Richardson, Thybulle, 1st for Murray, Millsap, Grant.

I think Richardson is a better player than Harris and obviously makes quite a bit less.
I'd be good with that Murray trade, but Milsap and Grant are both FAs

If the team can possibly off load Horford, I hope they could then go hard at free agent Baynes.

Not sure if Baynes will be in their price range.

I like the Richardson/Harris swap.
Gary is a better defender than Josh. Also, he's pretty content with being an assist converter. Josh is in a wannabe creator phase of his career and it makes him worse.

Content, but capable of creating his own shot if called upon. Considerably better than Richardson in this department IMO.Kobblehead wrote:I like the Richardson/Harris swap.

I used to really want Harris as the combo guard next to Simmons, but his shooting has really taken a nosedive since signing that contract. I'd actually say Richardson gives more creation off the dribble (not really something Harris does as far as I'm aware), though as Kobble likes to point out, him doing that a bunch isn't exactly desirable. Harris seems to have a better feel for the game (making the right play, plus a hell of a cutter), I just think he brings much more to the table unless the you can get his shooting numbers back to where they were.

Probably not a huge disparity in overall production either way. Another quarantine boredom brainstorm. The more I think about it it just feels like a lateral move.youngcrev wrote:ankle420breaker wrote:Content, but capable of creating his own shot if called upon. After throwing out every scenario in the universe I still feel like we'll be in good shape with a rotation adjustment and a couple minor role player upgrades.

Gary has been a far better postseason player in his 14 playoff games than Josh has shown to be in his 19. Stronger defender at the point of attack, too. I just think he's a more covetable piece than Josh.

Bulls fan here I have a trade idea I wanted to share. This trade hinges on the Bulls getting lucky in the lottery. Bulls trade Otto Porter Jr., the number 1 overall pick in this year's draft, 2nd round picks in 2021 and 2022, another 1st round pick in 2023 lastly Denzel Valentine for Ben Simmons and filler.
76ers starting lineup:
PG: LaMelo Ball *
SG: Josh Richardson
SF: Otto Porter Jr. *
PF: Tobias Harris
C: Joel Embiid
Bulls Starting lineup:
PG: Coby White
SG: Zach Lavine
SF: Ben Simmons
PF: Lauri Markkanen
C: Wendell Carter Jr.
What are your thoughts.

Pass. Weaker upcoming draft, not willing to part with one of our cornerstones.Ayman78 wrote:Bulls fan here I have a trade idea I wanted to share. The consensus top 5 prospects in this draft is complete trash.
If you can promise me we'd go offboard and take Killian Hayes or R.J. Hampton, I'd probably do it.
As good as Simmons is, he'll likely always be compromised in playoff basketball.

I don't really see any reason for Sixers to consider it. It's a huge immediate step backwards, and the likelyhood of getting a better building block in this draft than Simmons is pretty slim, so you'd be making the future worse as well. Amazing deal for the Bulls though, so I guess that's something.

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread 2019-2020 Post Season
Just on the Simmons to Chicago trades.
What type of players would Philly be looking for? Would a replacement PG need to be the best player coming back?
I don't know how to get the financials to work (and I know a lot of teams could beat the offer) but it would be based around Coby White, Lauri Markkanen and our 1st for Simmons.
I feel there's enough there to get Philly to not automatically hang up the phone.

I don't think there's anything Chicago could offer. It makes no sense for the Sixers to move him, particularly not for rebuilding pieces...

I'm interested in Horford, zhiare, picks and Scott's salary dump moved for a play maker.
I like the rest of the supporting cast. Size, skill, defense , youth , shooting and athleticism around Embiid and Simmons.
