Yknow - there are people on my FB feed (who I probably should delete from it) who are posting about the language of the unheard and inclusivity and chanting Black Lives Matter while condoning the looting/violence... and it's like there are black people right there saying **** don't do this, it's not what we want. It pisses me off so much that I almost hope it's white supremacists masking as leftist black bloc. They're putting the black Floyd protesters in danger they didn't ask for.

Like - I expect the brutal police responses and the white supremacist trolls to be what they are but somehow this still surprises me and it shouldn't either.

This is something I've seen coming for a long time though I never could imagine the exact circumstance and context that would cause it. I really thought it would be an uprising from the economic disparity between the top 1% and the rest of us. This appears to have been the perfect storm. White "liberal" America has ignored the problems of racism and criminal justice reform - particularly meaningful police accountability reform. In fact, by their failure to take the issue(s) seriously and passionately, they have failed minority communities across the country and have, in the own way, contributed to what we have today.

Again, why has the black community groveled for the little crumbs they give you? Yes, it has enabled a small number to "join the club," like James Clyburn. But then he sells you out for probably a cabinet position in the Biden Administration and what's looking like an unfulfilled promise to nominate a black female VP. That's how it's always been done. Clyburn got cozy too. Started telling people how to think and how to vote, i.e. to vote the way he wants you to vote. But he's not telling anybody what's in it for him and now it looks like Biden will not select an AA VP nor has he come out with any strong language or platform for criminal justice/police reform. No one is stepping up.

Everybody's in power right now is shook and is just trying to figure out a way to calm things but it's still all too raw and combustible. Even before Mr. Floyd's death and this virus, the system was breaking down. Now, there seems to be no other way forward other than to admit that the prior systems failed and that we need to rebuild in a new way going forward.

No. Not because they don't exist but because it's a flawed model. Take down the leader and you take down the cause. Also, public movements can be infiltrated and taken down from within. I think a leader less movement works best or rather one where everyone is their own leader acting in concert for their "cause", ie Justice , civil rights, reparations etc.

As far as moving forward, I agree with Glendon Cameron, we are going to be in for a very tough 3-5 years. I wouldn't wait for the "leaders' to admit to conning the public. Americans are just going to have to come to the conclusion themselves and adapt. No more living in credit , no more expecting big daddy government to take care of us. We'll need to re-learn how to PRODUCE.

But looking at the big picture, I think we need to be concerned with China as well. Whether you believe they intentionally set all this stuff into motion (by allowing known infected citizens out of their country) , they are poised to dominate us if we don't get our **** together soon.

And based on how they have historically dealt with their own protestors, and their own black residents, I think they would make what's going on here look like a picnic - if they were running things.
