 Sorry, misread that. Yeah the kids are going nuts. All school stuff online isn't mandatory, so the teachers are just taking it easy. We make the kids do the work, but the teachers aren't really teaching anything. It's going to be a **** show in the fall with kids being way behind and teachers lacking the ability to teach remotely. I still can't see them opening schools at all. We just bought a new house that'll give us a little more space, and my mother retired to watch the baby for the next year so we won't have to put him in daycare.

You just might not have time for BAF, I'm afraid...

Spoiler:
I was talking to my aunt who lives near Moncton yesterday and the difference in approach between Canada and the US in handling COVID is so stark. She was telling me that there had recently been one new batch of cases in NB and knew exactly where it came from (a doc that had traveled over province lines) and were able to trace to cases. Sounds like NS is in a much better place as well, which is fantastic because my grandmother is in a Halifax nursing home. **** is hard all over the world but I'm embarrassed for my country right now in so many ways, King. I'm just tired.

That doc in NB is going to be in a lot of trouble. They shut down the entire hospitcal where they work for a week. New Brunswick I think has a lot of cases that aren't being caught because they aren't testing a much as NS, but they do have being a little more spread out going for them. Here we did nearly 1100 tests on Saturday and no new cases (population just under 1 mill). Only 1 new case in the last 3 days. Nearyl all deaths are linked to one long term care facility (almost 60 :( ) People are starting to get outside more with a lot of restrictions being lifted. Bars and restaurants are reopening soon. Social distancing is still required and will be until a vaccine is developed. The breweries have all been doing home delivery, which has been awesome. I see them sticking with that even after this is done.

Oh she’s the REAL MVP!! Daycare is another mortgage!

We're going to pay her instead, :-? The house that we bought was a bit more than we wanted to spend, and my parents are going to pay a little rent and stay in a couple of the rooms. They're currently renovating our cottage and will live there when it's done, and can winter with us.

Congratulations to both Mecca (Brooklyn Nets) and NewEra (Golden State Warriors) for making it to the BaF (Season 3) Finals! Brooklyn making it to the Finals in back to back seasons while Golden State is making their first ever Finals appearance. The Finals will begin on Tuesday, either way we will crown a new champion in the next couple of weeks. Good luck to both teams!

As we take a breath before our championship series starts, we need to start thinking about turning the page to season 4. First off, I need to get commitments from all who want back in for next season. Please quote and respond with a yes/no or an in/out for next season.

Secondly, our offseason will be different this year then in years past. First off, our offseason will most likely be a much longer one then normal, and it normally seems really long. But considering the NBA will probably not begin their 2020-21 season before Christmas, I'm going to guess that our season four will probably not begin before next January-February. This will present a huge challenge for us in terms of keeping 30 GMs interest level high. For that reason, we will more than likely postpone or drag out a few aspects of our offseason.

I believe that our draft should still happen just before the actual NBA draft and considering we don't know when that will be will present a challenge. As soon as the NBA announces their draft date, we will announce ours. But teams should plan on it beginning the week before the actual draft.

Free Agency will also present its own challenge. There is a good chance that the NBA free agency doesn't begin until September/October. That will make for a long period of inactivity for BaF.

I have begun to put together the ratings for free agency. Once again, for anyone new to our league, franchises are rated on four metrics for free agency:

1. Winning organization- based on a three year cumulative
2. Future of the organization
3. Star player
4. Player Happiness

I have the rating for #1 completed and am now working on #2. The "future of organization" is based on draft capital and average age of each teams top six salaried players. I have worked out the average age part and now need to complete the draft part. Please check the announcement on page 52 of this thread for this years draft order. I will give until Tuesday for any disputes to be brought to my attention. After that, that draft order will be final.

There has already been one GM bring a rule change proposal to me which will be posted for discussion after the Finals is complete. If there are any other questions or issues moving forward with our offseason, please let me know.

I thought we could have a little fun evaluating (giving out grades) one of the largest 3 team trades in BAF history now that almost all the picks have conveyed.

6/17- The San Antonio Spurs have agreed to trade Anthony Davis to the New Orleans Pelicans and Antonio Blakeney and Lance Thomas to the New York Knicks in exchange for Frank Ntilikina, Aaron Gordon, JaMychal Green, Willie Cauley-Stein, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Mikal Bridges, Omari Spellman, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, a 2020 1st round draft pick (From New York), a 2020 1st round draft pick (From Minnesota-via New York), a 2020 1st round draft pick (The better of the Washington/Portland pick that New Orleans currently owns) and a 2021 1st round draft pick (From Cleveland-via New Orleans).

The New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to trade Devin Booker to the New York Knicks and Aaron Gordon, Mikal Bridges, Omari Spellman, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, a 2020 1st round draft pick (The better of the Washington/Portland pick they currently own) and a 2021 1st round draft pick (From Cleveland) to the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for Anthony Davis.

I was also able to move Gondon and WCS for the #11 pick and a 2022 1st rounder.

So ultimately its

#3 (edwards or ball)
#9
#11 (magic pick from Gordon trade)
#21
2021 1st (cavs)
2022 1st (magic)
Mikal Bridges (best young player I received)

then cap filler

Considering my salary restrictions with AD and me just not being able to properly put a winning team around him (kinda maxed out). I think I am very happy with that deal.

I probably sold Booker a little light (it didn't help he was an expiring contract) I also thought the Minnesota pick was a sure fire lottery pick and that your team (pelicans) was a sure fire playoff team. But the SIM can be tricky.
