As I said, Becky was not liked by all demographics, not even close. Her “the man” stuff was exhausting for many, even my casual fandom couldn’t handle it... it’s really all opinion.

Ciampa isn’t even close either.

Also this wasn’t such a couple of segments or episodes, it’s an entire build. From the moment AEW was a thing, Cody became the face of the company and with that one of the biggest faces in wrestling.

Becky is on the same level but she is not as loved, I see it online, I hear it in the reactions. There’s a divide. And yes the fiend was very hot at the time, but not a clear face, so that doesn’t work at all. You’re really grasping and reaching for straws,

But what gets me is your comment on “there’s more companies than WWE”, it’s just super snobby. I watch aew, where many of their wrestlers come from New Japan. Gate keeping like you are right now is not a good look. It’s wrestling, and you’re apart of this forum since 2005, you know better. You can give an opposing opinion without coming off like a snob.

Get that **** out of here and come correct if you’d like to continue our talk, if not, let’s agree to disagree because you seem like a really exhausting person, no offence.

And you're just an AEW fanboy, you're not pro wrestling fan.

Imagine being on a forum for 15 years where you’re Gate keeping “pro wrestling”. that’s what you choose to be snobby with? An elitist of pro wrestling... it’s so embarrassing, we definitely need to get you a different gimmick, lol, but hey man ! You got me .

Labeling someone the biggest face in the world (who arguably wasn't even the biggest face in their own company) while only watching AEW (which you admittedly have said in numerous other posts) isn't "snobby"? Uh huh.

That’s just a matter of opinion, while you express your opinion as if it’s the be all, end all because you’re a bigger pro wrestling fan, so you feel more entitled, and that is why you come off as a snob. Saying things like “there’s more than just wwe” is snobby on the highest form. Yes, I have said I only keep up with aew, I literally just pointed that out in response to you, and that is why you’re gate keeping rn and extremely triggered.

All sorts of fans over here, with all sorts of takes. If you can’t handle that without trying to be pedantic, this forum isn’t for you. Which is grade A pathetic considering you’ve been at it for 15 years.

It’s still real to you damn it!

It’s cool to give an different opinion, im just giving you my take. The difference is you take your opinion as gospel, it’s not, even if you’re a bigger wrestling fan than me.

Congrats. Life goes on, I’ll be watching dynamite and you’ll be jerking off to Billy Kidman matches. We’re all happy!

I've loved AEW the last couple of weeks but am really disappointed in Tony Khans remarks today maybe more
so then it seemed like a cheap PR tactic that most people see right through. I ain't gonna lie I'm still gonna watch
but maybe I'll start watching NXT first when I do.

Perhaps you should go reread your own comments when you responded to me questioning when Cody was ever a top anything. You tried passing of your opinion as fact and got called out on it. Move along.

Coby was the biggest face of wrestling at a certain moment. No denying that.

Yeah, the IWC isn't too happy about Khan's comments, espically coupled with his silence about Jericho's recent Twitter mishaps.

A total throwaway of an episode, didn’t do much for me or any storylines for that matter.

I thought Hangman and Omega were going to lose the tag titles for a second there. They did a good job of portraying Sabian and Havoc as a legitimate threat.

Jericho/Cobana was an okay TV match. Not much else to say about that. Continuing to tease Colt to the Dark Order is somewhat interesting.

Cody/Jungle Boy was a good match. Obviously couldn’t have JB go over in week one of Cody’s open challenge. It’s a little dramatic when the whole Nightmare family comes out after a Cody match, though.

Tony Khan's tweet about banning Linda and Hulk Hogan from any AEW event, ever. Which in itself is pretty awesome but a lot of people took it more as a PR move since they don't believe Khan has delivered on his promise of AEW being the most diverse pro wrestling company. Also Khan's silence on Jericho's All Lives Matters Twitter comments.

Adam Cole has yet to sign a new deal with the WWE (runs out in August) couple that with Road Dogg accidentally commenting on Cole's size being a big issue, I wonder if he's AEW bound? Would make a lot of sense joining up with his gf B.Baker and his bff Young Bucks. That would be a pretty huge loss for NXT/WWE and a gigantic boost for AEW's main event scene.

Would be really!
for many, he is the reason to watch nxt.
but i think for everyone it is no secret that he will change the company.
it is more interesting how he will leave WWE. Hoepfully WWE doesn't bury him...

I don’t think Cole would leave WWE, but it would be an opportunity for him to be the big fish in the medium sized pond, as opposed to the medium sized fish in the big pond.

Jericho makes so much sense on commentary between Schiavone and JR. He fits in so well as the heel commentator (and he can just call matches and put things over well).
