Yeah, I remember that. Never has a hypothetical proposal become the plan faster than in this case. What was the likelihood this ever happened without what has happened?

Who knows what the % is. But its a fact that the NBA shares airtime with the NFL. Its also a fact that the NFL is king in the US.

Based off those 2 facts, its not that far off to think the NBA would try to maximize their airtime without their direct NFL competition.

Would they make such a serious and league shifting call without Corona? I dont know, and tbh, I dont care. If Im an owner, there is nothing morally wrong with this and as a fan of a team with a very cold winter and very random Spring / Fall weather, this only benefits us.

Absolutely agree but my point is that they will never shift it back when it is in place because it would take similar events to make them ever consider shifting it again. The fact that is better for the league and cold weather markets is just an added bonus.

i dont want them to shift it back? Make it permanent going forward.

That was the point I was trying to make in my post above. I don't care how many games teams have played pre-break. But, I assumed some team still playing would come up more than 8 times on other teams' schedules and therefore have to play more than 8 games. It would be pretty remarkable if that all came out even games played-wise post break.

But, I assumed some team still playing would come up more than 8 times on other teams' schedules and therefore have to play more than 8 games. Went through our schedule. If Memphis is out twice, then game 7 becomes Houston and then potentially Washington/Miami and Orlando though all will have played 8 games by when they'd have come up on our schedule. Unless they have other games coming off their schedules too. If we are taking out the Memphis games and replacing them with Houston and Miami. lol.
