The good thing is that they only got one goal.
But when you bring Götze, this is also a sign that you already lost the faith in a W. -.-

Considering the lucky circumstances of having the lead and playing 11 vs. 10 for 50 minutes...
Union players ran more kilometers than Mainz did, down 1 man for 50 minutes. That says it all right?

Another clueless performance without any sense of creativity from all players on the pitch except for Baku and Barreiro (who came from the youth academy).

We have guys like Burkardt, Tauer, Papela, Eyibil and Nebel who came through the youth teams (Mainz youth teams are at the top of the youth Bundesliga table for years now). All of these guys are ready for at least spot minutes here and there in the league. It's just about giving these guys a fair chance and seeing who will stick around. Yet, we continue to play the mediocre likes of Dong-Won Ji, Awoniyi, Latza, Szalai over them because no player under 20 is allowed to hit the Bundesliga pitch in our philosophy it seems.

Any semi competent teams knows some of the guys are ready to enter the league by 17,18,19 these days. By just letting them train until 20, everything you do is delaying their development and they will end up as a worse player than they could be.

Btw. today there are news that we did not sign 18 y/o Alphonso Davies because we thought he was lacking in the tactical aspect of the game. That pretty much sums up our incompetence level no? Not signing an 18 y/o top talent because of tactical weaknesses. Ridiculous.

This is actually the last game I can see us winning this season due to the following reasons:
- Eintracht's game is kind of relying on outrunning the opponent and creating many chances as the strikers are not too efficient with their chances
- It will be Eintracht's 5th game in two weeks time
- Hütter might rotate a lot given they have the DFB Cup semi-final against Bayern coming up a couple days later (assuming Eintracht is winning one of Wolfsburg/Bremen games).

Eintracht will have to do the workload and we will look to score on a counter attack.

Then again...our piss poor defense could just as well decide to escort Eintracht players to our goal as usual. A loss seems likely as well.

Damn Foye, Mainz really shouldn't have lost this one. That loss hurts.

Seems like the Corona break has saved Hertha's season. Pretty incredible that this is supposed to be the same team. Before the break, Schalke were nine points ahead of Hertha, now they're one point behind us.

Not much of a surprise.
Relegation has been coming for a few years now.
Match day 4 or 5 is when I started to think this might be the season we will get relegated. Schröder was still busy bragging about last season, meanwhole nothing on the pitch worked. In winter we were once again too arrogant to search for players that will immediately help.

We used to be a club with exceptional coaching staff and limited capital that was maximized with a motivated team.

Now we are a club with garbage coaching staff and limited capital that is used for mercenaries.

Wouldnt mind making a clear cut in league 2.
Get rid of:
Schröder
Beierlorzer
Whole team except for Baku, Barreiro, Müller, Zentner, Eyibil, Burkardt, Papela, Tauer, Nebel (last 5 are very good talents but do not even get a chance from Beierlorzer because he is incompetent).
Meanwhile they get older...and their chance to be a top player decreases because they are not playing against top level opponents.

Really really disappointed with what has been going on in this club in the past 3-4 years. This season is just the cherry on top of the garbage hill.

Robert Lewandowski: 317 BL games, 231 goals, 70 assists. Impressive stuff.

Plus, he has nearly no injuries. Especially for this age it is tremendous.

Nice win for us yesterday against Union(after those two stinkers agains Leverkusen and Bremen) and we've basically qualified for Europe, whoever that will look next season, given that we're 14 points off of 6th place and all of those teams tripping over their own feet.

Now we've got a chance to make it a special season and qualify for CL, even though I'm not so sure about it given that we've not been all that consistant/solid during the 2nd half of the season.

BTW: Mamadou Doucouré

Selke sucks. CF without any assertiveness, goal scoring instinct.

Yeah...Selke had some moments when he came to Hertha, but he just isn't that good. Hasn't developed at all. If Werder stays in the BL until next summer, they automatically have to buy him for around 15 mil.

That's a pretty rough spot to be in

In fact, I think he is a much worse player now than when he first entered the league.

One of those cases that do not put in the work after getting that big payday.

Oha, thx for your information.
Could be really a great day for Hertha if Werder avoids the relegation.

Nah, Werder better not avoid relegation.
