True, but this was never really the choice once they decided to go ahead with return to play. The question was the format and this format they are voting on seems very uninspiring to me.

If I understand it correctly, this will be the remaining 8 games for the Jazz:
OKC
NOP
MEM
LAL
LAL
SAS
SAS
DAL

But I see some conflicting info on twitter so... take this with a grain of salt.

That tournament style would have been a bit more appealing. Hopefully, a result of this is top 16 across NBA playoffs, instead of West and East in the future.

No Bogey, potentially no Ingles, the Jazz are hosed.

A month or two ago, he indicated that he would not play again this season even if it cost him his career due to the potential risk of covid to his family. However, it looks like more recently he has backtracked from that position, so it looks like he would probably play.

So, from the RealGM news page I noticed that:

1. Western Conference Playoff Team Recently Had Four Positive COVID-19 Tests - it doesn't say if it means players or staff.
2. Two players on the Phoenix Suns have tested positive for COVID-19.
3. Nikola Jokic Tests Positive For COVID-19

I can't see how the NBA can go ahead with the season if this is the case. Yes, the league will lose around $2B if the season is cancelled but this is getting ridiculous. Some players have already stated they will sit the season out (Ariza, Bertans) and other players seem to seriously consider it (Ingles, Mitchell, Tatum, Irving, etc.). While I don't care either way if the season gets cancelled or not, it just feels to me like that even if we put the health concerns issue aside, this season is still losing its justification for resuming. A championship is a championship, but this one will have a huge asterisk next to it, even though it's no one's fault.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

I'm pretty indifferent to it returning (other than for the obvious implications of the health of the league), but it does feel that the writing is on the wall, now.

Avery Bradley said he's going to sit out the rest of the season.

Len, Parker, Hield, Brogdon, have all contracted the virus. Can't see how the season can resume like this.

Rubio and the Suns have won their first three games in the bubble. Rubio is averaging 17.7 pts with 6.7 asts and 2.3 TOVs, with a 52.6% EFG%. He's not going to sustain that high shooting percentage, but it is fun to see him doing well in all aspects of the game. Suns have been winning without the services of Baynes and Oubre, while running an 8 man rotation.

Mike Conley has played pretty well in the bubble...but speaking of PGs we probably could have gotten....Chris Paul is still a beast. He's a top 10 player in the league this year, and instead of paying draft picks to get Conley, we could have gotten draft picks to receive Chris Paul.

If he was on this team, we'd have the vocal leader with the game to back it up. I don't think we would have had these chemistry issues flare up. Would have been a killer team with him in a Jazz uniform.

Agree with the Chris Paul statement. How ironic would that have been to have him on the Jazz, most likely to end his career, when we could have had him way back when D. Will was chosen instead? I guess the debate over who was the better point guard has ben put to rest even though at the time, CP had a hard time winning against D. Will.

Yes. Have to give CP3 lots of credit for what he is accomplishing at age 34/35 this season. He's leading all PGs on RPM and WINS. He's back in his element as the undisputed veteran team leader, while not having to share the ball and leadership with Harden. And the break helped him come back to finish the season with renewed energy.

Dennis Schroder recently left the Thunder for the birth of his child. The Thunder need to get their sixth-man-award candidate back sooner rather than later to try to go on a playoff run.

I don't know if it is legit but Grayson Allen has played great in Orlando. He is finally shooting the 3 ball consistently which isn't a big surprise because he has always had a nice shooting stroke. For some reason he has never shot it consistently in the nba or college to this point.

Speaking of ex Jazz guards, Alec Burks has been playing very well for the Sixers......

Congratulations to Coach Bryant! Big loss for the Jazz. Does that mean he can't be an assistant for the duration of this season?

Knicks making the slow play on Mitchell. I don't like the way this shaping up.
