Gotta get Troy Brown from Washington before he blows up.

Would you guys trade anything of significance for Oladipo, knowing we'd probably be forced to max him by trading for him? This trade is assuming he and the Pacers can't work out an extension.

If Simmons is going to Chicago, then I expect LaVine and Markkanen as a starting point.Dez wrote:Just on the Simmons to Chicago trades.
What type of players would Philly be looking for? Would a replacement PG need to be the best player coming back?
I don't know how to get the financials to work (and I know a lot of teams could beat the offer) but it would be based around Coby White, Lauri Markkanen and our 1st for Simmons.
I feel there's enough there to get Philly to not automatically hang up the phone.

I like Dipo, but I'd have to pass given the uncertainties with his health. The likelihood of it ending up being a fruitless deal is a bit too gnarly for me.ProcessDoctor wrote:Would you guys trade anything of significance for Oladipo, knowing we'd probably be forced to max him by trading for him? Re: Fantasy Trade Thread 2019-2020 Post Season
Interesting 3-way fantasy trade proposal on the T&T board between us/CHI/SAC. I wonder if Chicago lucks out with Edwards/Ball if they'd be more willing to trade LaVine? We could cut out SAC if they'd have interest in a vet like Tobias.
Harris + Thybulle + Scott + OKC 1st for LaVine + Porter
Simmons(24)/Milton(20)/LaVine(4)
LaVine(30)/Korkmaz(18)
Richardson(30)/MLE(18)
Porter(28)/Simmons(10)/Horford(10)
Embiid(30)/Horford(18)
Looks like a better fitting team on paper, but I wonder if the impact of LaVine + Porter (injury?) is truly greater than that of Harris + Thybulle.

Even then you're still only talking about two quarters for a dollar. There's really nothing on Chicago that remotely gets me excited about trading Simmons.

I would entertain Embiid for Resigned Brandon Ingram, Jarvis Hayes , Josh Hart and 2 1sts .
Josh Richardson, Zhiare Smith for Hield swap.
Horford/ Hayes
Tobias/ Simmons/ Scott
Ingram/ Thybulle / Korkmaz
Hield/ Hart
Simmons / Shake

Unless Ben Simmons becomes a top-5 player in the league, that team has a ceiling below championship level. And if he were to reach that level, you'd still be way better off with Embiid. Ingram is nowhere near good enough to be the centerpiece of an Embiid trade (unless he demanded out), and he'll be making just as much.

Last NBA game he played in was in 2010. Might be out of shape.Negrodamus wrote:Jarvis Hayes.... That's a name I haven't heard in a long time.

I feel like he and Hutchison are still going to blow up in the next year or two, health permitting.

I think if this postseason is a bust, which it most likely looks to be, then we should finally look into a trade revolving around CJ McCollum for Tobias Harris. Sorry for the trite trade suggestion, but it's time to stop screwing around with our "huge" lineup fantasy and grab a vet guard who can take over games offensively and commands respect in the locker room. The trade likely won't relieve the cap situation, which is likely to be rough next year, but it helps fix the team dynamic immensely.
I'm hoping Horford will be moveable for cap relief next year, but I'm struggling to figure out who would want him at this price...

I can't see Portland having much interest in CJ for Harris swap. We'd likely have to attach assets for them to entertain that seriously.

Honestly, there isn't much about our youth that really excites me moving forward. I'd be fine with adding Thybulle or a pick to the trade to get it done. I believe maximizing our potential with Embiid and Simmons is more important than trying to make things work with Harris and hoping that Thybulle gets an offensive game at some point.

absolutely insane with all of the assets Hinkie left this group with we still couldn't figure out a way to hit on the homegrown scoring/shooting, building block guard.
Thanks, Fultz.

The Fultz trade and the unwarranted Harris trade really did us in. Still can’t believe how short BC/Brand fell of building an appropriate roster around Ben & Jo.

Add passing on Shai to that list. Gift-wrapped opportunity for redemption after the Fultz disaster and we missed by a country mile.

even crazier that it's coming up on time to re-evaluate that draft and Zhaire. This fanbase is so hung up on Fultz busting we don't even fully realize a year later they traded down to take another one. Absolutely brutal.

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread 2019-2020 Post Season
I've been watching some of those full game highlight videos of Evan Fournier. He's normally someone I had scoffed at the idea of acquiring, but after watching a bit more of him and seeing how he gets his buckets, I do think he'd be a great fit with Jo and Ben. I'd still prefer someone better, but he's on the low end of guys that we could actually acquire (with the weak assets we have) that could make a legit difference. I'm not sure I'd want to put the ball in his hands to go get me a bucket in the guts of a game, but he'd be the best PnR ball handler on the team (not saying much) while also be a guy that can run off a screen and hit a 3 on the move (something that nobody on this team can do at a high level).
I'd also have interest in T Ross as a 6th man. He's basically an athletic version of Belinelli.

There is a thread on the trade board about the worse contracts in the league. Guess which is the only team that has two (out of nine in total) players in the list.
