I'm sick and tired of the Warriors acquiring bum offensive players and not getting any criticism for it because they know Steph and Klay are going to carry them. Ideally you can get a two way player but at least get someone who can score. I'm sick of the defense getting away with triple teams and box and one on Steph because they don't respect anyone else on the court.
Same here. Our best offensive weapons off the bench during the title run: Mo Speights, Barbosa, Swaggy P etc.
I would love just having an offensive minded guy on our bench that fits our system.
Iggy used to be a great spark offensively off the bench for a while too but once we acquired KD, he started riding Steph and KD's coattails and was missing every other game. He was still really valuable, especially in big moments but he wasn't the same anymore.
It isn't talked about a lot but our bench after 2017 was really weak. Iggy and Shaun started breaking down and nobody else was reliable. We didn't pay attention to it because our starting lineup was the best of all time and we were blowing out most teams by the third quarter. It won't happen next year.
What we do with the draft pick, the MLE and the TPE is key.
Along with which Steph are we getting ? If he's an MVP caliber player, we're probably a fringe contender meaning not on the level of the Lakers, Clippers and the Bucks but just behind. If Steph declines and isn't MVP caliber anymore then we're a sixth seed with a second round ceilling.
If we get a diminished version of prime Steph, what we need is a really deep team to somewhat make up for it and we don't have it right now. I only have faith in seven players to make positive contributions to the rotation next year : Steph, Klay, Draymond, Wiggins, Chriss, Paschall and Looney (if healthy.)
