But honestly it seems fair given that we were just as unlikely to make the playoffs during the normal season. Getting some quality wins on this big of a stage and our guys balling out can be critical for development and setting us up for free agency. We never really had a clear idea of what this team was supposed to be so we should learn a lot even in just 8 games.

Yeah honestly I ain't even mad because I really didn't think we should've made it. I realistically expected they go with top 16, maybe at most stretch it to 20. Pushing it 22 almost seemed odd and benefitted us and the wizards.

But I'm not complaining, just keen for basketball and having Suns basketball is a bonus

Its a F-n joke. Really the season is shot, the playoffs in whatever form are tainted... should of had a 30 team tourney bracketed like march madness, with seeds and all. Roll with 10 exhibition tune up games then do a best of 3 elimination games. At least then, all fan bases could be involved for at least a few games and have a realistic chance. We are 8 and out. Yay NBA.

The season is totally tainted, but while a NCAA tournament style would be very entertaining, it also wouldn't be fair to the teams that had good season thus far.

The current structure rewards the top teams for their performance and gives everyone 8 games to "warm up" for the playoffs.

We probably won't make it, and I worry about risking injury for a 8 game season, but being apart of the tournament gives us a selling point to free agents ESPECIALLY if we play well. It also shows progress to our stars like Booker. Think he's excited now? Hell yeah!

There is also a huge chance the top teams just kind of "scrimmage" for 8 games and then "turn it on" for the playoffs. That gives us a chance to knock off some of the "top" teams.

I don't think the playoffs are tainted. There is nothing holy about any particular system for determining a champion. I see no good reason not to respect this year's champs as the 2019-20 NBA Champions going forward.

As to the effect on our team, I think it's positive, in general. I worry that #10 might be the very lowest we could dream of Devin Vassell falling, but since even that's a stretch, yeah, who cares that we'll probably end up with the #12 rather than the #10 pick. Really depends on how we play.

Yeah I absolutely hate the asterisk bull. You play the hand you're dealt, be it a lockout shortened season, opponent injuries, or in this case a global f-ing pandemic. Damn near every championship run is unique but hard and deserves equal credit historically.

Heck I'd say this championship will be even harder for the top teams because they lose the home court advantage they would typically have.

Can’t wait for these 8 games. Sure we are going to have a tough time making the playoffs, but we can win some respect by winning 4 or 5 games

Who starts at Pf in Orlando? Traditional with Saric or our most effective line up with Oubre and Bridges at the forward spots??

Only way I see Bridge/Oubre not starting together is if we are worried about Oubres minutes and have Oubre play limited minutes off the bench.

I am not optimistic about Oubre being available. I think he will be out and Saric/Kaminsky our PF rotation for those eight games.

WTF? Mizell was really good. Probably just not a lot of readers. Not a big enough fanbase to have enough subscribers. I always gave her the highest rating on her pieces. I can understand Bordow. And if they kept Bob Young and got rid of Mizell that makes absolutely no sense. His stuff pales in comparison to hers.

I actually will probably cancel my subscription and I hope they ask why.

Two bids came out, one with him playing at home dunking and cutting during lockdown and one of him on the suns floor after facilities were opened. I thought he was good to go.

A super tournament is the most inventive and and exciting thing the league has done sense they added the 3 point line.

So are there any free agents we could/ should be looking at adding to our team? Also, Does this at all impact our current roster with Saric, and/ or Baynes? Or can we look to address their contracts later?

This is just a window for guys who are currently not on contracts. This gives teams the chance to add gleague guys to future contracts something that typically happens late season.

So then no one of note possibly that we should consider to add to our roster for more depth in order to hopefully make a deeper push if at all possible in this late season return?

I haven't really checked the available pool in free agency or the G league, But perhaps there are some low cost productive players that can help at positions of need?

Any considerations from this list?
