Around the corner from me is a wood shop. Guy had a pickup truck with a Trump flag on it portraying Trump as a muscle-bound superman. Ironic since Trump is such an effeminate sissy who wears high heels and a girdle to hold in his gut, but rednecks seem to think he's some kind of stud. It's weird AF.

I'd wager the majority of their parents who actually did vote were registered Republicans. Maybe in 1975 they were more Democrat, but the last 25-30 years has seen those more tight-knit multi-generation immigrant white neighborhoods go to the GOP. That could be Italian, Polish, Irish, same basic trend.

Newer generation that was born after 1980 vs. the older generation that was part of the union and voted heavily democrats. I'm starting to see the shift with union workers from Dems to Republicans the last few decades starting with the "Reagan Democrats" in Michigan. It's the "fck you, I got mine" mentality.

I always thought the bridge and tunnel thing in the 80s and early 90s with Italian-American kids dropping ecstasy and dancing to techno with gay and trans club kids in horror makeup at The Limelight was always good for a chuckle. Those outer borough kids were still tourists though and when they went home they went back to that world and lived that life.

One time I was at the Limelight with friends and our trio of mc jacket wearing mooks started slam dancing each other in the middle of the dance floor during some new wavey disco song. We cleared the floor of that main room and there were hundreds of clubgoers standing on the perimeter at a safe distance glaring at us. So we just started waltzing with each other in exaggerated strides for our newfound audience. Totally dickish early 20s stuff, but a good time. I guess that makes me a domestic terrorist.

What is with many companies not speaking out to the point? Even the company I work for refused to mention anything particular. Just beating around the bush.

For the most part Corps that are saying something one way or the other are doing it because they feel they have to or it is advantageous to do so business wise. I think it’s a no brainer for the so Knicks to do so as well, but they’re a very conservative organization, so if they’re not it’s because they think it’s risky for some reason business-Wise.
