Dwight just doesn't want to go back there to face DHS.

Is it me or does it feel like it will be inevitable that important players will test positive mid series?

That is fine but those NBA players should be ready to lose a significant portion of their salary for doing it.

If NBA players are really serious then all of them should sit out because a lot of them have families. I just know that those same NBA players will not be happy losing money when NBA will lose money too.

You have to choose. It is not like NBA players are poor. Cancel the season and play the next one from December.

Who says there will even be a next one at this point? There certainly isnt going to be one this summer. I'd say next year is in doubt too.

Still more understandable than players like Lillard not suiting up because the games are "meaningless"

If they don't want to play, they don't get paid. Simple. And if they are sitting out for stupid reasons like Lillard, fine em. That or give us fans the ability to not pay either and consume NBA content for free.

Also FYI in the article Woj says the players who sit won't be paid

I have to imagine there are some “big names” in the mix.....otherwise this wouldn’t be a story

I wanted my country to lockdown in March so it is not like I am against lockdown but it doesn't look like there is any end to Coronavirus any time soon.

I would play if I was an NBA player without any existing medical conditions. I would just stay away from my family till 2 weeks after I leave Orlando.

They can't force players to take a risk. From a health and safety perspective, and it's still a workplace, that would be entirely a huge liability. Hence coming to an agreement they can live with.

Big names who have generational wealth getting a taste of the retired life...unless Silver stands firm ( he wont) it's going to be a while before we see guys excited to play basketball again. You're getting a glimpse of a league where the players have total control. Fan resentment, load management, and now a work stoppage. The NBA is a business and the most valuable leverage a player can have is choosing not to play.

I don't blame players who may have that mindset especially since Florida is one of the State in which daily COVID-19 are on the rise not the decline. Safety first and no matter how well thought and sincere out the bubble situation may be it's not a 100% foolproof plan. Plus, many players don't want to be separated from their families or have to undergo a ten day quarantine for leaving the bubble area. As well as give up their summer vacation time.

The NBA would be smart just to cancel this season and move on to planning for having a successful 2020-21 season. As it stands now the NBA will be rushing into the 2020-21 season and the schedule will revert to an old one of 4 games in 5 night and more back to backs which will lead to a lot of player management scenarios from teams while robbing the fans of an enjoyable NBA experience.

If it don't fit don't force it just relax and let it go...

I think they shouldn’t be worried very much about safety if they really will be tested every day. Also, they are in a low risk age group.

I think they are probably more upset about being away from families and women for so long. Not to be too crass, but when’s the last time any of these guys went more than a week without getting laid?

Let the free agents from the G league and eligible player pool get some playing time. It’s likely some of these borderline playoff teams will have some openings. We already know based off previous reports that a majority of the players want to play and MOST of the superstars do too.
