stop falling for workout videos.

the tape doesnt lie. he sucks at finishing at the rim and isn't an explosive athlete down the lane.

Yes, he can run and dunk but he wouldn't be turning many teams and scouts on like Pam Anderson when she was still in her prime if all he was was a rim running athlete. From a pure skill, feel and fluidity standpoint he's better than Bam Adebayo and Mitch Robinson.

Could not disagree more.

Agreed. Have we seen him rise up and slam it in traffic? Very choppy/blocky when driving. Barrels into people instead of slides through like Trae Young does.

Really tough to tell with him. Leaning pass. We can do better.

Like I said before, Haliburton put them clamps on Lewis, had them boys shook. Haliburton gives the same type of passing as Melo (not as flashy but same results), but gives better defense.

i like halibuton a lot, but you can't believe Haliburton breaks down a defense and sets up his teammates better than LaMelo. That is crazy talk.

Haliburton doesn't get into the paint. Which is fine it isn't his skill set but he doesn't have the advanced handle or burst to get into the paint. He gets his assists through the "flow" of the offense he is not a true shot creator.

He is more of that "traingle" style pg or secondary ball handler that can shoot it, make the right plays, and play good defense.

Agreed with you here.

But if he ever starts breaking people down off the dribble and hit pull up jumpers... look out.

i think he can absolutely improve his handle. He has a set shot though. I doubt he will ever have a shoot of the dribble mid range game. Unless he completley changes his shot...which isn't likely because he's a really good shooter, he's just a C&S shooter.

I never said he breaks down defenses better I spoke about his passing being as effective as Melo and from what I've seen with Lamelo, he is not a true shot creator.

I still wouldn't count out Wiseman. I would have to imagine he has spent the entire time working on his shot. Wiseman with a shot will be dangerous

he seems to have fallen a little bit in the draft projections, I still have him 3-5 but for all we know he could drop to 6 or 7 and we could end up with him. I doubt it but you never know

The footwork of Hayes....That combined with his size/frame. Dude is real crafty getting to his spots. Love that he has improved so much over the course of the year.

it stings being directly behind the pistons in the draft order assuming the lotto doesn't shake that up. because they will likely pick a better PG ahead of us. they would probably snag hayes if he was there at 5 or 6. all we had to do was not win that last game and this wouldn't be the case

He might not be as raw as we expect him to be. He’s pretty skilled. With the extended offseason, he might be even better next season

Yea, maybe not. He took over the reigns as PG of a Pro Team at 18. It wasn't the best team, but I think that says a lot. He will go thru some struggles and adjustments like most rookies, but it doesn't look like he's that far away. He's at least got nice size which I think will help him adjust.

He's a "refined" raw. His skills (that you cant teach ) are advanced - foot work , angles, step back , body control, but he just needs reps to build consistency and eliminate miscues . He's obvoiusly a smart kid with great feel forthe game, just imagine what he'll be capable of in 2-3 years...
