Nice to see.
Wish they were coming back at the end of June, instead of the end of July.

Edit:
I caught a glimpse of Romeo stretching on there, too.

Was thinking the same thing, end of June would be perfect. End of July seems like a year away. :banghead:

It’s gotta be so they can cancel if cases spike before then, right? (I don’t want to jinx it so I won’t say that they’re not yet, knock on wood)

I have the highest amount of faith in America and the NBA to handle things correctly and in a healthy/responsible manner.

So, from what I gather, Homecourt Advantage is Dead, and doesn't matter anymore?
They're playing all the games in the same venue, Orlando. No fans either.

Hence, there's No Advantage. Celtics just have to win 16 games, 4 per Round (Playoffs).
Not that it's an easy thing to do. But, that's the deal.

Our Road to a Championship is Likely.:
Philly - Raptors - Bucks - Western Conf (Lakers, but maybe Clippers).

I think that Team Shamrock will do well, under these Orlando circumstances.
The Rookies, too. = They have G-League experience, and Summer League.

This should be right up their alley.
Constrained conditions. Plus, they don't have to travel.

Any interest in signing JR or Jamal Crawford? Both would essentially just be a veteran presence which could be a positive. I would think they would both be 10th or 11th man in rotation so would barely play but would give added leadership and experience.

I think that Danny continues with the 17 players that we have now.
No need to rock the boat, at this time. Though, the (real) offseason is a different story.

Shane Larkin: I won’t go back to the NBA as a third point guard
By Antonis Stroggylakis | info@eurohoops.net | 13/JUN/20

https://www.eurohoops.net/en/euroleague/1069838/shane-larkin-i-wont-go-back-to-the-nba-as-a-third-point-guard/
“I will not go back to the NBA as a third point guard,” Larkin said to Fansided while adding that he won’t even discuss this kind of possibility. “So, if any team asks about that, we’re not even gonna answer the phone.”

In his previous stint in the NBA in 2017-2018, Larkin averaged 14.4 minutes per game in 54 regular-season appearances with the Boston Celtics plus 14.0 minutes in 11 matches in the playoffs. It’s clear that he wants something more significant in order to consider going back to the league and leave Europe.

In an interview with Eurohoops back in November, Larkin emphasized how important it is to him to have a major responsibility on a team and said that the reason he didn’t return to the NBA in 2019 was the lack of such an option among a number of opportunities. The American guard re-signed with Efes through 2021, NBA out included.

Well Nets fans claim Bondy is a fraud so we'll see. I can totally understand Tatum's POV if he feels he should sit out, it makes a lot of sense.

Tatum was among the players who were worried about that insurance thing according to Woj. Donovan Mitchell is probably in the same boat.

Also, I'm sure his agent told him that not playing, and Orlando being cancelled, could cause his max to be less though.

EDIT: Also to be fair his teammates are talking about him like he's playing so we'll see.

I want to see where he's at relative to backup bigs. I just posted in another thread how Brad prefers older players at the big spot. More maturity, experience. He likes smart bigs because they are tasked to handle a lot of responsibility at both ends. Tacko is a 4 year college player and he is SUPER intelligent. Plus he is a gym rat and a real student of the game. Just listen to those podcasts with Grant and you get the idea that this kid eats and sleeps the game. He's worked a ton on his basketball skills, his dexterity and coordination, and his footwork. Tacko could be a super interesting matchup play against certain teams with his size and ability to convert in the paint at such a high level for a few mpg.

Low key, I'm a little concerned that Robert Williams could miss his window and open up an opportunity for Tacko to walk through if Williams does not have an impact after the resumption of the season. Fair or unfair, Williams has not had an impact in his 2 years here thus far and our window for title contention is about to get thrust open. We don't have a ton of time for guys who aren't gonna be part of the solution.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

I'd say Tatum would be in the "Bubble". He's not practicing for nothing.
There's talk about allowing the Max Contracts to sign now, instead of waiting for the offseason.

Larkin has an NBA out. But, I doubt that he gets a 2nd PG position. And that's what he wants.
