Here’s some new Wiseman workout footage. 2nd vid his jumper looks pretty clean. Click on the link

I won’t be surprised at all if Wiseman ends up being a KAT type of player but with defense. People forget that my guy Towns didn’t exactly show off the skills that he has right now back when he was in Kentucky.
What I want to see Wiseman improve on is his passing and playmaking skills. Right now I only see him as a finisher and scorer but eventually teams are going to double and even triple team him and he is going to have to make them pay for that.
He seems like he has a high IQ so I think he'll be able to develop some better playmaking skills. Out of all the prospects that did the film session with Mike Schmitz, Wiseman's was the most impressive to me. He's studying the game hard
Yes I’ve seen Wiseman’s interviews even when he was in high school. He strikes me as a very intelligent kid. Also a student of the game and finding ways to be relevant in the league as a big.
Pairing his athletic dominance as well as IQ makes him as the prospect with both the highest floor as well as highest ceiling in this draft.

he is a very tantalizing prospect though if you looking for high ceilings.
He is so young and will have low points on clips but some of his high moments make you say this kid is easily the most talented player in the draft if his head is on right.

We were both high on Edwards about a year ago but yes I share the same concerns.
If we end up with the number 3 pick and Wiseman and LaMelo were selected ahead of us I would explore trading Edwards to his hometown Hawks in exchange for their pick where we get the PG we like, as well as one of either Huerter, DeAndre Hunter or Reddish.
Hayes/Haliburton + Huerter/Hunter would be pretty good for us. Not sure how I feel about Reddish. Hes like a more talented Kevin Knox, although he did end the season pretty nicely
Reddish still has that defensive potential that Knox hasn’t LOL. Also has that connection with RJ already.
If Hawks are in position to get Edwards it would be hard for them to develop him along with Huerter/Reddish/Hunter unless they plan to offload Collins and play Hunter at the 4.
I’d prefer Huerter or Hunter too myself but if Reddish would be the one that would be made available I would take a look at that as well.

Talent isn't an issue with Edwards. It's his mental aspects. Just like DSJ. You don't need to try to sell me on his talent. Lol. Maybe Edwards gets it together, but I am not betting on it. He has a long way to go.

Like Rubio was so instrumental for KAT’s development and is probably doing the same for Ayton right now.

Yeah hopefully whoever gets him makes sure he has a point guard feeding him and is developing him into a 2 way monster. Like the Suns right now with Ayton.

Yeah I forgot Reddish plays more defense than KnoxI suppose we can give him a look. I actually would try to offer them Knox as well and take Reddish in return lol
If Hawks asked for a straight up Knox for Reddish trade I wouldn’t think twice in accepting it LOL.

im surprised you soured on edwards so much when you were very high on him and wanted the knicks just to get a top 3 pick to secure one of those 3.
Edwards has his issues. But is also an off guard. So I do consider IQ much more important for point guards then a 2 guard.
Edwards synergy had him in the 83rd percentile in catch and shoot and that is more where I want him to live. He's also very good in ISO situations as well. But I think with the right coaching he should be able to tap into that potential.
Also its a lot about work ethic too and how grreat he wants to be. I haven't heard much about that being an issue for Edwards. Tom Crean speaks very highly of him as a worker and teammate. When you just have to watch DSJ college highlights and see the type of shape he is in and how explosive he was. And look at him now, and he was fat this year.

I haven’t paid a lot of attention to Edwards. So quick question who is a better SG him or RJ? Keep in mind I do think RJ is a SG long term so saying put RJ at SF isn’t ideal.

see I think RJ is absolutely a SF long term in the NBA. Just like I would put Knox at the 4 permanately too.

Idk to me his attack the paint style works due to him being stronger or faster than his defender, however he’s not really that fast. So he has to stay at SG because that’s where is advantage is the most common. I can’t really think of a SG stronger than him. Teams can put SF’s on him sure but it usually leads to a mismatch somewhere else.

Yeah Wiseman has the potential to rank as among the best Centers in the league.
Am not giving up on this position and downplaying its relevance and significance to today’s game.
In fact I believe that the next dynasty is one that can build around effectively and efficiently around its dominant big.
We are so behind this guard-driven league approach already I think it is going to be very hard to catch up using this route.

In terms of mental makeup I don’t see Edwards succeeding here as opposed to the likes of LaMelo and Wiseman who would just go for “it” and I think will be able to figure things out.
His hometown Hawks is just a perfect fit for Edwards wherein he can be very complementary to Trae and provide the primary support.

I actually think the opposite...someone like Edwards I think getting away from Georgia might be best for his career. Get into a situation where he is out of his comfort zone is only focused on basketball and can get away form home town distractions.
Going somewhere and just focusing on developing your game...obviously getting on a team with a good coaching staff will be huge.

Yep Edwards is more of a complementary player. Do not trust him as a franchise player with all of those red flags and bad motor. Hawks is the perfect situation for him

Very good point here. I remember when Butler was starting to peak SG was his best position even when in a traditional sense he should have been an SF. It was because of his strength advantage versus 2’s as opposed to 3’s.
Furthermore with RJ his wingspan is not that long for him to be effective at SF.
With RJ though we need to have very good shooters playing the 1,3 and 4 positions.
That being said we couldn’t land a PG in the draft or FA I would explore playing RJ like the Heat did with Winslow in making him the primary ball handler.
